Mattresses - I need knowledge

Sleeping duck convert here. Replaced a high spec traditional mattress and is aeons ahead. We’ve been through loads of mattresses lately trying to find one that doesn’t cripple me and the Sleeping Duck has literally changed my life.
Good to hear!

We're very tempted to give it a go, being able to change the firmness and the 100 days to change our minds are great, worst case we'll just return it and order something else.

Cheers for the reply. :)

Had our new Sealy 2800 Pocket spring delivered on Friday, the first night was mixed however last night was lovely. Actually looking forward to going to bed tonight for the first time in a while after sleeping in a rubbish bed for a while :)

It was a PITA to get it upstairs on it's own. It comes rolled up in a box about 6ft high and 18" square but without any kind of handles.

We decided to leave it in our eldests bedroom as he's not around at the momentnd it smells quite chemically, plus they suggest it takes a few days to sort out100%. It was weird to rip the plastic as the air got sucked into the mattress and watch it get full size.

Think we'll put it on our bed tonight as that gives it around 18hrs to have settled.

It seems pretty well made though and feels solid enough. I was a bit sceptical by all the mattresses that get packaged like this but no concerns now.

Will update after a nights slepp.

Ordered a Sleeping Duck double. Hopefully should be able to get up to the second floor by myself!

Ordered some new jersey bedding and a merino wool duvet whilst I was at it.

Sorry. That was in response to telecaster and his bedding order :)

For my initial thoughts. It doesn’t feel as solid as my previous mattress. The top feels a little baggy but I think this is due to the design of the zipable section to change from firm to medium.

I went for medium and it doesn’t feel soft or quite as luxurious as some we tried in a shop but it’s comfy and I slept well and haven’t woken up to any aches which is the key thing.

Early days yet but it’s mostly positive.

As mentioned this thing is tall. Must’ve added about 4” over our previous mattress. My wife can’t even touch the floor when she’s sat on it and says it feels like a bunk bed!

Ours is a low metal frame. God help someone with a high divan!

It might be worth waiting till it arrives. This thing is huge! It’s a lot thicker than previous mattress.

We’re gonna have to order new sheets. Can get some at 18” deep. I’d recommend those.

Well they state that it's 30cm depth so that's what sheets I've gone for, not to worry if they don't fit I'll just get some deeper ones.

This will be my first decent mattress, previous ones have just been open coil "bag of springs" types, current one is an £80 ikea jobbie bought to tide me over last year.
