Max Payne - The movie?

Haven't seen the movie myself yet,but Mark Whalberg as Max Payne always seemed wrong to me,having played both games I was expecting the movie to have a lead that at least physically resembled the games main Character.

Was watching Mad Men last night, not something I normally watch but it was in HD and the pic quality caught my eye, then all of a sudden Max Payne appeared on screen!

We need a sequel, with this chap as Max and preferably a director such as Guillemero Del Toro who did a great job of adapting the Hell boy Comic strips to the movie screen!

I've got the film ready to watch but I think Mark was quite a good choice. How much of the two games is represented in the film, I haven't a clue. The only snippet I watched is from the middle of the film where he comes home to his house in New Jersey to find the men murdering his wife and kid...

watched the film last night, unrated edition ofcourse ;) i thought it was pretty rocking!!! tho, it could have followed the games story more tho. but nether the less it still had rocking moments, like when he's sneaking about.... with a shotgun ;)

The movie stank... the more so because they had the visual look and feel and some of the characters down very well... but the script was extremely weak, ignored most of the depth of the ingame story and several characters including max payne was deeply flawed doing or saying things that just didn't fit the character...

They really should reshoot it with a few tweaks, it could be 10x better with a few simple changes.
