I don't have a problem with you not being bothered. I would hope you aren't bothered because you can't affect the situation, so there is no point worrying. Some of us, however, don't have that kind of practical control over what troubles us, even if we aren't going to actively do much about it. My issue was with you suggesting he can't even really have an opinion on it because it is a different country -
maybe I misinterpreted and all you are saying is there's no point worrying about it, and that there is more point worrying about issues with our own laws because we might be able to do something about them (even if it is just voting for a particular set of lawmakers)

I can't be expected to understand every religion in the world, what rights and wrongs they have, all the insides and out of them. I also cannot be expected to follow them when I do not belong to a religion.
Getting all ancy about it, violent to the point of threatining physical harm is probably not going to help your case. I did not know drawing mohammed was wrong until it was brought up in the news. The reaction from extremists made me sick these people existed.

Very interesting thread. Admittedly it was a massive overeaction from some Muslim extremists over South Park, a show which everyone knows is extremely crude and satires absolutely everything (including Jesus...). Not sure about the pictures though, some of them are a bit outwardly provocative tbh.

This is the problem. Just because a group/community/whatever decides to flood a country, it does not mean that their views are immediately accepted. And they should not be accepted. Ever.
I feel that I've turned all Daily Mail after reading this thread over the last few days but... I guess it will happen.
