MCU to "Refocus” and Disney sinking faster than the Titanic (Starwars is dead Marvel is dead)

Who is siding with anyone?

I'm merely passing on the document, but you knew that...

Are you really defending this stuff?

Yeah sure, why not? Creators have proved that they can't do it by themselves, why not have guidelines until they realise it's normal? Otherwise you end up in scenarios like Friends where New York is 100% white.

Oh ok, you support it.

Until what is normal? massively over-representing certain groups at the expense of others? And jobs being handed out not on merit or talent but on certain caracteristics being present in the candidate?

Wait, wasn't that what the problem in the first place?

Disney's mandated DEI document (but of course none of this is real and it's all in our heads)....

So it's ABC's then, doesn't change much, if one studio has it, they all will have.

And of course, what it shows is what they're really concerned with before a frame is even shot, which would go a long way to explaining why so much of Hollywood and the big studios output in general is so bad.

It's not creative idea - best people for the job - shoot the show/movie.

It's:

Creative idea - put through the DEI filter - people hired via checklist - shoot the show/movie.

Its standard across various TV companies, Amazon, Netflix, etc are full of the same ********. Why are people so set against disney having the same dei principles, especially when there's been numerous examples posted in this very thread of them implementing those exact same 'standards'?

Because with guidelines all you get is skin deep characters (pun intended). The writers clearly don’t have much to say on these cultures they try to represent and it shows.

It’s a half arsed way of trying to achieve proper representation. Then again the most vocal champions of representation don’t actually care about representation so it doesn’t bother them.

Well well well. Some juicy information starting to come out from this lawsuit.

“Carano then transitioned to providing details on the struggle session that the lawsuit now alleges Leslye Headland was to take part in, “All these Lucasfilm employees are railing me on their websites. One of them, creative director, had a GoFundMe, and in the GoFundMe bio it was like, ‘This is because our ignorant actress.”

We all know Starwars is dead but there’s not a chance of an undertaker revival.

The message and going after your kids is more important.

What an utter **** show.

Disney getting sued again!

Bob Iger leaked video!! Disney getting political

Is this the same Bob Iger who, after losing the company billions upon billions in revenue due his personal interjection into politics, said late last year -

"Creators lost sight of what their number one objective needed to be... We have to entertain first. It's not about [sending] messages,"

That same Iger? Say it ain't so!!!! :D
