Mercedes Benz and AMG Owners

They have simplified it and it now makes a lot more sense than it did, the previous naming of CL for example was very misleading - there was nothing C-Class based about it!

It's a much better naming convention.
The new SLK is being called SLC

Hopefully they will update CLS range with correct range reference - CLE?

Yep i thought that as i posted above, the CLS definitely doesnt fit the new scheme and is an anomaly. You'd hope that name will be dropped, CLE would be fine :)

I'm looking at getting a 2010/11 E350 CDI like this one , jtust wondered what people think of them and what to look out for when going to view one? I've had BMW cars before like the E90 530 and even an E46 M3 but this will be my first "Merc" so to speak :)

no one ever had a 2011 E350? :)

I have a 2013 E350 If that helps. Its not a diesel though, but I am very happy with it generally. My only gripe is the rubbish reverse camera (the one on my Golf GTI was far better), but in terms of everything else its been comfortable, fault free and durable.

I agree, SDK - they looked dated from the get go .. always preferred the w211 dash myself

I had a 2015 E220 as a rental car a few months ago.

Exceptionally well built but otherwise underwhelming and quite dated inside despite being a current model. However second hand these are excellent value and considerably cheaper than the equivalent 5 Series.

The previous generation model had, for its time, a fantastic interior.

I went on my favourite road in the A45 today and it excelled itself.
I had not been on it since I got rid of my GT86 and the A45 is a different beast
Go for a test drive you wil be sold

C350e

Well it seem's that the prices have come down , something to consider for next year :)

It looks like I will be selling my E350 and moving back to the UK this year, its a long time since I checked model availability there and for petrol engines it seems to be either a 4 pot or a V8 AMG, with little in between.. When did they stop selling V6 Petrols? :(

Just not a popular market over here unfortunately, I believe the E coupe has the E400 which is the 6 cylinder petrol but the saloon has dropped it.

The new platform E class is just around the corner so that may change.
