Mercedes Benz and AMG Owners

Brother inlaw went all the way to Cardiff to see a C350e, couldn’t even get it started, felt it was complicated, WHAT! So left without even driving it. My son who got trawledinto going with him was bloody livid especially as he had to wake up early on his day off to waste hours driving on the motorway.
 
Too complicated to start...? It's literally key in the dash and turn. Or if it's KeylessGo, which I'd expect on a 350e, then foot on the brake and push a button... :confused:
 
Just placed my order today for the facelift E220d AMG Premium plus.

Went for all extras apart from the upgraded climate control (who needs 3 zones seriously!) and the 20” rims, prefer the look of the 19”.

All other options taken, surprised on the new models HUD isn’t offered.

Been told 12-16 week wait due to delay on the widescreen displays :(

You should try going in a car with my mum :p 26c set on the climate and still too cold

Would have loved one however CO2 sends my company tax higher and I didn’t want even more tax taken.... test drove both and the hybrid also, to be honest I didn’t feel that much difference. Obviously abit more poke when in sport mode, but both has the almost the same smoothness.
 
But the extras will all add to your tax liability, did you not like the e350e or even the c350e, both are tax friendly
 
To be honest I preferred the toys over it the power of the 350e. I could gave gone for it but would be a lot less toys.

Tried the C class but didn’t seem that big a upgrade from my CLA

Your choice I suppose, personally for me provided the car has a few buts like decent seats, climate, cruise and decent audio I’d have gone down the 350e route if I was still in my company car scheme, luckily I opted out years ago so choose what I like.
 
Actually looked into the 350e as you got me thinking. However no go, the lease charge is more for base than mine with every toy!

Speaking to my merc account manager it’s simply due to that diesels get better lease deals and they have set avenues to pass them onto at the end of lease.

So you did make me second guess but can’t change anyway lol :rolleyes:

This does seem very unusual, using adding any options to a lease increases the cost quite a bit, let alone every single option, especially as options lists are typically long and full of things many people wouldn't actually want.

Did you really spec literally every option? Or is this a bit like those Autotrader adverts that say FULLY LOADED? :D

So pretty "Loaded" :P. I did barter hard and got one hell of a discount for the above however for a 3 Year 20k per year lease.

The 350E when i discussed yesterday was more than the above by £2 a month and that was with ZERO extra's, only Premium Plus.
