Is it not standard on the E Class?

You used to need the smartphone integration package (which would remove the COMAND system from the spec) but I've just been on to spec an E-Class up and it wasn't an option.

EDIT: Ignore that, it's only standard on the E400 and up.

Comes with COMAND online, for people that didn't cheap out of it.

The fuel economy of mine is impressing me. I saw 61mpg yesterday after a 2 hour drive, which for such a big car and down to the fact I wasn't looking to economise is really impressive, well to me at least.

I went from filling up twice a week in the C63 to filling every couple of weeks, if not longer!

225 mile per tanks to almost 700!

It’s been 4 months, I still find it weird. 1st diesel I’ve owned. ( although the C63 itch is still there....)

V8's are the thirstiest of the lot in my experience. My V10 in the R8 can get to 30mpg when the best I ever saw in my RS4 was around 24mpg and that was really hard to achieve, most of the time it was 22 or below and I did 108000 miles in that car.

The new 4l v8 in the C/E63 has 4 cylinder shut off on a cruise so it’s not too bad if I recall. I got 36mpg in my E43 on a 435mile run to Edinburgh which I thought was pretty good considering I wasn’t trying to be economical

Picked this up last week :) Every optional extra apart from massage seats and radar cruise control (which have heard breaks anyway) - it's more comfortable than my dad's E Class!

Already thinking about pulley and remap...

I think actually 36mpg shows how little the economy of v8 engines has changed over quite a long time period. The 4.3 v8 in my 99 S-Class (so a what, 20 year old engine) could achieve nearly that on a run that long. Of course it had a lot less power! :)

The 36mpg was on my E43 which is a 3l v6 so even worse considering but I was doing about 80mph indicated generally.

I’m a big Mercedes fanboy as anyone who knows my car history can see, so I love the e43, but I actually don’t find that fuel economy very impressive to be honest. Down at a 3l 6pot, mid to high 30s have been achievable at that speed for a good couple of decades. (I’m actually thinking about my various 3.0 BMW’s now - I’ve not had a 3.0 petrol merc). :)
