Metro: Exodus [E3 2017]

Any of you getting this from the Epic Store or waiting a year for it to release on Steam?

I'm not sure I can wait considering 98% of my games collection is on Steam, might get a key of CDKeys later!

Does the Epic app host similar features like achievements, trading cards and the likes?

The Epic store features none of the latter. It doesn't even support offline play!

still a few out there I trust

Who can be trusted nowadays?

Youtube "influencers", corporate media giants who take advertising money from these publishers?

Deepsilver have already proven how underhanded they are.

I love the previous games in the series but this one has a massive cloud hanging over it which is unfortunate.

The worth a buy channel is normally reasonable if I want to get an honest opinion about a game.

He does sometimes go off on tangents about things that he is overly passionate about hating on though.

Hardly, is whole viewer base is based on him not liking games and ringing that annoying bell.

Aye I'll be the first to agree he's not perfect, but for the most part I think his reviews are at least somewhat sensible.

I wasn't expecting him to review AC:Odyssey well at all as it had micro transactions, but in the end he said it was a good game.

At least he is vocal about not receiving keys or payment to make false reviews.

What a waste I have just tried to set up an account for Metro Exodus and Epic refuse my display name I have used just about everything under the sun and it says it has been taken, sweary words as well. They have now lost the price of the game and Epic will never appear on my machine.

Look at the disclaimer at the bottom.

Deep Silver are garbage.

I cant help but feel there is a bit (lot) of overreaction going on just because a company are choosing a store charging 12% profits over 30%. Sure I get it, steam has a few extra bells on - it is a mature platform over 20 years old - but still...............

that disclaimer seems fine to me, there could be lots of reasons why they dont want parts of the game leaked out before release. I have no idea what D S are like aside from the fact that up until now their games offer FAR more content than the vast majority of developers.

I would say they are one of the good guys.

if in doubt wait till the game has been out a few days/weeks. just have a bit of patience if you are worried.

Yep, not seeing what the issue is with that. I've watched three video reviews now and seen a good variety of levels and gameplay across all three, so the more sensible assumption is that they've asked for specific levels or story elements not to be revealed. If that's the case it's more than reasonable, and given the fact that nobody has, as yet, come out and said "We were told we can only show you the things they told us to show you" I wouldn't be getting worked up over it.

So tempted to pick this up at CD Keys... just finished watching a small playthrough on PC in Ultra settings, looks soo darn nice.

Obviously I had to stop watching as I don't want to spoil it, it's now a case of wait a year on Steam or bugger it and get a key and redeem on Epic?
