Metro: Exodus [E3 2017]

From the 20% Epic make, how much will go into growing the platform, how much will goto Chinese profits?

Steam is NOT a monopoly (despite what people may say), but even if it was, it is far from a "bad" monopoly.

this will depend on epic games i would suspect. judging from when tencent took over GGG last year (i believe) i've yet to see Tencent drain the company of all their profits or even interfere with the game, except for the chinese version of it.
while i agree that steam is not a monopoly, but calling it a "far from bad monopoly" if it were, is just wrong. Monopolies are not a good thing.

The move to epic for this title has been great for me.

Regional pricing was always a little 'off' for me on Steam. Being based in India, some of the lower tier or indie titles were priced well at around a fiver, but triple AAA titles like Metro were comparative to the UK.

When I fired up my epic launcher today, I am being advertised Metro for the paltry price of 13 GBP.

Bargain!

NVIDIA has officially confirmed that it will work together with 4A Games in order to add support for Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) in Metro Exodus. The green team did not reveal any additional details (like whether DLSS will only be available for 4K resolutions or whether it will be available for both 1440p and 4K).

Of course this does not really surprise us as earlier this month, NVIDIA also stated that Shadow of the Tomb Raider will get support for DLSS alongside the highly anticipated real-time ray tracing RTX effects. And to be honest, it makes no sense to have RTX without DLSS (especially since the RTX effects have a big performance impact on current-gen graphics cards). Battlefield 5 is also another title that will receive support for DLSS.

As we’ve already said, Metro Exodus will also be taking advantage of real-time ray tracing effects. 4A Games will be using RTX for both Ambient Occlusion and Indirect Lighting. So yeah, contrary to Battlefield 5, Metro Exodus should get a noticeable visual improvement over its “rasterized” version.

Now while 4A Games stated that Metro Exodus will support the real-time ray tracing effects on launch day, we don’t know whether it will also support DLSS from the get-go. And to be honest, NVIDIA really needs to step up its game as a lot of games that were supposed to take advantage of DLSS do not really support it yet.

Metro Exodus releases next week so stay tuned for more!

Its Exodus week! :D

Pre-load should be soon.

EDIT:

No pre-load on Steam. :(

Wasn't gears of war a Microsoft store only title or something? If so it was on the PC but not on a platform that anyone actually wanted to use!

Am not going to be getting Exodus despite the fact that I enjoyed the previous Metro games. Exclusive launch on the Epic games store leaves a bad taste in the mouth and I can't support it.
They are full of it though Gears Of War1 & 4 are both on PC right now & the best versions! Epic left the PC behind in the Xbox360-PS3 era not recently!!

???? Why would the fact more traffic is on Epic have anything to do with Preload on Steam? It just seems like yet more petty marketing crap. I'd be very interested to actually see some sales figures for Steam vs Epic. It was up for preorder on Steam for a while and I bet a lot of people bought it in that last day before it was removed.

Any of you getting this from the Epic Store or waiting a year for it to release on Steam?

I'm not sure I can wait considering 98% of my games collection is on Steam, might get a key of CDKeys later!

Does the Epic app host similar features like achievements, trading cards and the likes?
