Metro: Exodus [E3 2017]

I just leave my 3080 and 5800X on stock. Much better than arsing around overclocking and things becoming unstable.

RAM is the only thing overclocked. Ryzen seem to benefit a lot more from overclocked RAM than a marginal CPU core bump

This stuff, running @3800Mhz CAS14-15-15-28 1.5V

Memtest5 stable using Extreme1@anta config.

Same RAM here but I’ve only got it running 3800 CL16 @ 1.37V. Keep meaning to get around to trying to tighten the timings. Did you use a RAM Calc for working out the timings, or was it just trial and error?

Ryzen DRAM Calculator wouldn’t list me settings for 3800/CL14 unfortunately, but the Fast 3800 timings worked off the bat, albeit at CL16.

Looking on Epic store there only seems to be one version and say Enhanced edition included. I havnt downloaded the enhanced edition, so will my game just update to it through epic ? what version number is it ?

No AFAIK (I did ask) it cannot be updated it was totally remade (not RT tacked on) so you need to fully download the new version but you should get it free if you own original.

So i have to uninstall my current one then re download the full game ?

No they can coexist AFAIK, I have the Steam versions but never installed/played original as only got recently on sale.

Yes to play the new version you are going to need grab a 75ish GB file.

A combination of Thaiphoon, ZenTimings, TestMem5 v0.12 (best configs) to test with the Anta extreme config, AIDA64 extreme and DRAM-Calculator-for-Ryzen-1.7.3. Also yes, trial and error as I guess all RAM is slightly different and help from people on here.

This thread was a great help - https://www.overclockers.co.uk/foru...-to-8-pack-ripped-edition-32gb-kits.18885405/

Running 1900IF / 3800Mhz with the lower timings was key. That really brought latency down (~53.4ns)

Anybody elses watch got the wrong time, and also running fast ?

Pretty sure the original was timed with your system clock, and ran normal, but just started playing this one at around qtr 7, and my watch was at about 9am, and every couple of seconds, it was doing minutes. :p
