*** Microsoft Windows 11 Thoughts & Discussion Thread ***

Anyone had issues with the 22h2 update? I downloaded, installed but upon reboot I got a message saying undoing recent changes, rebooted and the 22h2 update is appearing again with a cumulative update for Windows 11 (KB5017383)

I can also see an error notification that the 22h2 not being successful. I'm wondering whether or not to try again.

No issues to note on mine. The new "Home" in file explorer is pretty whack though. If you actually use your OS then this Home will become a mess of clutter. Changing the default action when you open File Explorer to This PC is far far neater, and you can just then access quick access things from the left pane or pinned items from the taskbar/start menu.

Did a fresh install of Win11 22H2, Memory Integrity is supposed to be on by default but on my install remained off, I enabled it manually and so far no issues. Interesting to see how Smart App behaves and if it cause me any grief, so far it’s running in Evaluation mode, wonder if it will decide I’m a good candidate and turn itself on, or throw it’s hands the air with a sight and turn itself off.

I felt so strongly about the task manager cores view screen that I conceptualised a better version which I'm sure someone or even MS could patch in fairly easily so that P/E cores and bordering/colouring makes them more clear.

Probably a dumb question but I want to try Windows 11 but not just in a VM as I want to test a few games, apps etc. I have a spare 500GB SSD. If I disconnect my Windows 10 drive and install Windows 11 to the spare to dual boot, will I have issues when one Windows install updates?

Nope, you will have no issues.

Or just upgrade then roll back if you don't like it.

Be fine, had a dual boot for years, currently dual boot Win 11 and.....er Win 11

Shouldn't be any issues - I've had dual boots of various mixes of 10, 11 and 7 on different drives on the same PC without any problems. In certain configurations you might have some complications with secure boot.
