So basically bringing back Windows 7 style but worse, though has a small number of decent additions missing in 7 but still doesn't have one feature which would be useful to me - the option of having a list of currently open and/or recent explorer windows in the left hand navigation pane which you can drag and drop to or re-open.

Sometimes you have to go back to go forward. It's getting better just takes time.

If everyone is resigned to "that is how it is always going to be" yes... doesn't mean it should be that way or couldn't be different or doesn't deserve criticism.

Some more good news for Win11 features, now that never combine is rolling out, Windows Backup gets released too:

Don't think so, it will just extend what Windows already has (also called Windows Backup) with the new functionality.

Microsoft's just making it up as they go along.
They haven't got a clue what to remove and add, they logging and experimenting all over the world before actioning something to see if it's used.

100% convinced this is what they are doing.

+1 For Bitwarden. Fully cross platform. Completely free too, with option for $10 a year for a few perks like checking your passwords against leaks.

I've never once had to type a password within the last 3 years. I also have passwords up to 64 chars now.

I still use a pin on the browser extension, leaving the vault unlocked all the time still concerns me. Not sure how much better a pin is...but makes me feel a smidge more comfortable about it

I got a PIN as well set with a 15 min timeout.

I had this with teams wide-site installer. I just uninstalled it as there was another version installed.

After I did that it went away but in this case some things might need to be done manually for now until the versions numbers gets sorted.

Dells have a built in OS recovery tool now that downloads the latest image from the cloud.

Assuming you have a fast enough connection to download it in the first place.

I wonder if anyone has any ideas of how to solve an issue with my Cumulus weather software?

After a tremendous amount of time and experiments.

I tried several variations of operating systems, and discovered that there is a bug with Windows 11 Home/Pro.
I did a fresh installation of Windows 10 Pro, and now everything is working perfectly with no errors.

These are the errors which I am getting on Windows 11 but not on Windows 10 Pro:

PHP[64]: Error uploading to realtimegauges.txt
PHP[64]: Error uploading to realtime.txt
PHP[64]: Error uploading to realtimegauges.txt - Exception Type: System.Net.Http.HttpRequestException
Message: An error occurred while sending the request.
Inner Exception...
Exception Type: System.Net.WebException
Message: The request was aborted: Could not create SSL/TLS secure channel.

Does anyone know what is different in Windows 10 compared to 11 on the SSL/TLS secure channel? Or what is causing these errors?

Any ideas or information would be gratefully received.

Do you have a screenshot of when the error occurs?

I have it running on windows 11 but not sure what to test when your error occurs to replicate it.

it's running because I can access the web server on http://localhost:8998/ unless it's when on your side it's doing something with the data set.

I'm trying to get my head around what this software does.

EDIT: oh it looks like it's for connection to weather station, is that right?

Yes, it is connected to a Weather station and my website is My Website.
