*** Microsoft Windows 11 Thoughts & Discussion Thread ***

I use to use Windows 10 LTSC and as soon as it comes out for Windows 11 I will be moving over to it.

Windows 11 LTSC

It's important for organizations to have adequate time to plan for adopting Windows 11. Today we're announcing that the next Windows LTSC releases will be available in the second half of 2024:

  • Windows 11 Enterprise LTSC
  • Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC
We'll provide more details as we get closer to availability.

I don't want the IOT version just the normal version.

EDIT: by the looks of it that 1 ISO contains all LTSC versions.
EDIT: Hell yeh! that looks like there's absolutely nothing installed with it. Just file explorer and the bin lol

Problem with that is while Windows 11 is still in public beta MS could decide to not offer any more updates on machines that have bypassed the requirements, i don't think they would as there'd be uproar but the possibility is higher while it's still a preview release than when they finally get round to releasing an RC version.

That will probably be towards the end of next year when they finalise the LTSC release, hopefully then they'll stop adding and/or fiddling around with features.

I bet there's millions of devices bypassing requirements. I think they might stop feature updates once LTSC comes out but not security ones. By then I will move over to LTSC.

What features are you missing? As some like the Paint Layers option aren't available unless you are on the Dev channel, despite having both the update and configuration update installed

Give me a sec I think I know what's wrong.

EDIT: Nope can't get co-pilot despite trying each channel with full updates.

I've broke it. Went to the Dev channel and still no co-pilot. Now I can't go back from Dev channel without a format. :D

EDIT2: I think I know why. I'm on Windows 11 Pro. Not sure if stuff has been enabled for this as of yet.

Can any of you confirm if you are on Home / Pro / Enterprise Windows 11?

You can download Windows 11 23H2 Preview ISO from the following URL but doesn't include Pro.
