From
Microsoft:
Insider W11 builds can be installed on systems that don't meet the requirements, which is what you have been seeing.
At final release we will enforce the requirements for new installs. Any existing insider W11 install will not be changed to final release if requirements are not met (nor will those machines get any updates) - we recommend you roll back to Windows 10.
W11 at final release will require Internet to install and file verification will take place. You will be unable to bypass the system requirement checks.

That's the idea.
1 - Helps drive new laptop / Pc sales
2 - decreases overall work for microsoft with trying to support older hardware
I think it was about time they did this in terms of supporting only newer hardware, I am not worried and will use W11 even thou I don't like the UI design i'm not a fan of the rounded corners.
ah nice John he fixed your WDDM thing before I got chance to post it
That will have to be disabled for enterprise and defence sector licenses, so some clever spark will adapt it for general use.
Because in the defence sector there is no internet access at all on secure networks, and enterprises will want their own builds, customised with drivers, backgrounds, software, and so on.
If that works out for the better, so be it. Imagine no anonymity on the web anymore tied to ID on their computers/devices of the future, therefor a huge degree of toxic vulgar trash getting exposed for who they really are and eventually ending because of consequences.
How many times simple workaround search on YouTube. Win 11 will install on a core 2 duo
Nah come on some brain wave will sort it
Why are they being so strict about it? It's very puzzling, many PC gamers don't run cutting edge hardware, we on here are in the minority .
MS seems to have completely forgotten, or just don't care, that the core purpose of an OS is to enable the end user.
This.
I won't be installing it.
Stay with Linux Mint for now (will never go back to Microsoft ever again because they will stealing everyone's data and sell it for their profit - well these companies like Microsoft, Facebook and Google just bad as each others more adverts, data collection, sell your privacy for profits
The position has been perfectly adequate since Windows 95, so if it ain't broken don't fix it.
All due to moving the taskbar icons?
When is the insider build releasing? Cheers.
Windows 11 are now available on downloading from Microsoft. Windows 11 build 10.0.22000.51 just now
