Midweek Football Thread 20 - 22 *spoilers*

Watched the Real game after the United game, quite enjoyed both.

Didn't think Real / A.C played very well, was a real lack of quality other then Pirlo's goal.
Both keepers were awful, Real dominated, at half time Real looked much more likely to win.

Really don't know what happened to Real at the back in the second half, they just fell apart, Casillas just went to peices at the end of the game.

Real are so hilariously bad at the back still, Albiol wasn't half bad, a move in the right direction, Diarra was probably man of the match, superb passing setting up loads of chances aswell as fantastic defensively. But theres just no cover beyond him, Pepe, Ramos and Marcelo are all bloody awful. Marcelo's better going forwards, but still not good, he'll get forwards, do a player or two then screw up his pass/shot. Kaka was pretty bad again, wanted way to much time on the ball, screwed up so many passes, crap shooting, awful interplay. Without the couple penalties handed over by Ronaldo his goal tally would look pretty pathetic. Genaro was utter crap with Drenthe being far far more threatening when he came on.

To be fair they did deserve a stone cold penalty in the first half, then again Milan's headed goal should have stood, if not for the cheat and crap player that is Ramos pretending he was shot as the goal was scored.

Real, if next year they can actually get a couple decent fullbacks could be an awesome side, but can't see them getting either title with that defence.

I'd be starting Drethe at left back and maybe even Diarra at right back for now, though Diarra has been incredibly good for them in central mid.

Milan were awful for a team that won that game, all the goals coming from crucial mistakes. I wouldn't give Pato too much credit, he didn't do anything when he wasn't gifted chances, a couple nice turns 30 yards from goal on the wing, which afterwards he did nothing with doesn't really mean he had a good game. He was in the right spot at the right time for both goals, but both absolutely gifts.

No discredit to Chelsea - but for the 30 minutes at the end of 2nd half AM where not really that much of a challange it seemed

AM had one goal chance narrowly missed and a little unlucky but apart from that they where pretty meh considering who they have up front (admittedly with little supply)

Spanish league not all it's cracked up to be? :p

Casillas just like... fell apart!

Bizzare really, he's normally really good. Still think Real are very good going forward but do look a little weak in defense.

Good win for Chelsea!

Really loved the shot of VDS hugging a injured and little Fabio :p
