Hmm I notice the one I have seen is SDHC, the camera spec says SD TF so I take it it won't be usable with theSDHC variant of MicroSD?

Happened to mine a couple of time after leaving it in my pocket without turning it off. Reset button didnt work but let the battery drain and it'll reset itself and work fine.

With regards to the 30 minute limit:
Battery should be good for 2 full 30 minute recordings.

Have you tested this? I read somewhere that when a guy was in the cold weather he got something like 7 minutes of battery life!

Any old crap will work fine, you only need about 1MB/s writes.
