Mini keyring-sized digital camera/camcorder

Yea mine was shipped like 2 days after i ordered. Hopefully the guy is just saying "45 days" as a big cover from himself. But looking at the HongKongPost website, it does say it will take weeks to clear the backlog :(

I ordered one from the op on the 16th and ordered 2 from the same ebay seller as Nymins on the 18th.

I'll keep you updated when they arrive, im not expecting much for a good 3 to 4 weeks though.

I've been contacting various sellers asking if they are the #3 version. Hard since them themselves probably don't know what im on about! :p

One said the time stamp is yellow, which i guess means it is a #3 even though in the specs on their page is says the image resolution is 1600x1200 which tells me its a #5!

Have now asked what colour the tiny LED is, which should confirm either way what version it is ;)

I've got a track session at Castle Combe on saturday, will be taking my keyring-cam for some in-car track footage :)

Im guessing by this point no ones bothering to do anything interesting with theirs then?

If all most of you lot can come up with is attaching it to your car then you're not very imaginative, especially considering their size and cheapness, come on it's been over a month now, stick them somewhere fun!

Could someone please give me a pointer to a seller who sales a cheap version 3 ?

Look at jamoor's post a page back.
That's where a lot of people have ordered from including me.

You'll be looking at about 1 months delivery though as its from hong kong.

Any suggestions?

I have/did attach/ed mine to my R/C heli, but each time the vid was too shakey, so i scrapped them, then on one of my attempts last week i crashed the heli due to a gust of wind taking the heli, i compensated but as i did that the wind went lol so smash into the ground it went - Snapped the tail boom clean in half, cracked rotor head and a severley damaged main rotor blade, be a week or 2 for the parts to arrive from HK.

Oops, despite the crash, onboard footage of the crash could have made good viewing! ;)

I have one of those small polystyrene RC heli's, the £30 jobbies, now I know it's not as good as a proper RC heli, but I'm tempted to try attaching this camera too it, as it's so light, I think the small electric motor may just about cope!

I'm useless at flying it also, so I may be able to video a few crashes... :o

If I get a chance over the weekend, I'll give it a go. :)

You can get a de-shake filter in VirtualDub I think?

I ordered 2 but still waiting for mine, will probably be near end of May before I get it I bet!

Anyway what are the implications if you secretly record someone like if you go to buy something in a shop and they promise you something, but when you go back they pretend to not know about it, i.e. it was a verbal agreement. How would the recording help you or would it not? Thanks.

Don't quote me, but as far as I know you can 'secretly' record as long as at least one participant in the conversation knows it is being recorded.

Just caved in at bought a #3 :D

Any chance any software links can be put into the first post ? Saves people trawling through 14 pages !

Still looking for a UK seller that does the #3 cheap.

There is a guy selling ones for £9.95, but they are #5's after me contacting him.

There is another person that lists one at £49.99. Eek i know, however, looking at the 36 he has sold, the price was £9.99 and then £12.99. So i dunno if its a typo or what. Asked him if he would sell one at the cheaper price, but haven't heard back yet. Im about 85-90% sure the ones he sells are #3 because even though it says on the spec page that the image resolution for pictures is 1600x1200 (which according to that Chucklohr 808 website indicates its a #5), I have asked him what colour the time stamp is and what colour the LED light is. He said both are yellow, so im pretty sure it is infact a #3
