Mini keyring-sized digital camera/camcorder

Just received my number #3 today, however I noticed something seems loose inside, when you turn it upside down or shake it you can hear something rattling, does anybody else have this problem?? First thoughts are a very small chip or transistor has come loose inside, can not test it at the moment though as I have not bought a memory card yet

Ive tried the filter, seems to do a half decent job of removing the yellow time stamp. Not completly but it helps and doesnt make it stand out so much

it's probably the lens & CMOS assembly that's loose, it's only held in place by tension from it's ribbon cable. the main circuit board is screwed in place and the battery's stickied to the circuit board :)

my lens/cmos assembly was loose and kept shifting out of place so i blue-tacked it in it's rightful position - worked a charm :D
 
Took mine out when i walked to the shops earlier. Just held it by my side so it was really shakey, not worth putting up but rather impressed by the quality in good light. Cant wait to find some uses for it at home!
 
This information from hong kong post doesnt look good for us waiting for the camera's from hong kong. Looks like a long wait for my 3 .......

Air mail service to Europe

Due to the disruption of flights caused by the volcanic eruption in Iceland, there is a backlog of international air mail items (including Speedpost) destined for European destinations currently held at Hongkong Post pending resumption of flights to Europe. With the huge demand built up for air cargo space to Europe, Hongkong Post expects that it may take weeks to clear the existing backlog after the frequency of flights to Europe returns to the levels before the volcanic eruption. Customers are therefore strongly advised to refrain from sending air mail to European destinations until further notice.
 
Yeah I'd give it a week or two, remember it's not just a case of getting it into Europe, flights are used to get it to the UK and also parts of the UK so the backlog will be affecting pretty much all mail and courier services.
 
Yea ill leave it for a bit, I'm just impatient. Me want nao! :p

EDIT: There are some going for £9.95 from a UK seller. Picture has silver buttons instead of all black, although i have emailed and asked him if he can identify which version it is. It will be either #3 or #5 since in the specs it states an external slot with support of up to 16Gb and also the video resolution is 720x480@30fps. I have a feeling it will be #5 if the picture is of the model he is selling though. Could be just a stock photo (i hope) since I have seen some reviews and unboxings and the picture on the box has the silver buttons, but the unit itself is all black.

If it is #3, ill buy it and either sell the one from HK on with it comes or keep it spare.

anyone else waiting for their one I ordered 30th. I suppose it will take ages to get here now with the flight backlog :(
 
Seems like a very long wait even with the flight situation. Would like to think I would have gotten mine after more than 2 weeks!

Also, is anyone here looking to sell theirs or have more than one that would sell one to me? :) willing to pay whatever the cost you paid for it plus the postage to post it to me! :)
