Please do tell me why?I just thought it was a bit harsh to be honest.

Are you seriously trying to imply that men are under as much pressure as women over image?
Excuse me a sec..

Give the girl a break
Gorw up? I genuinely laughed when you implied men are under as much pressure.Do grow up. Whilst talking percentages is a rather moot thing to do, men are obviously under less pressure then women when it comes to image.
This does not remove the hypocrisy from Phoebs post.
Well said Pheebs. If I had half the amount of self-confidence this girl has I would be extremely happy. The fact she is happy enough to stand and be judged my numerous people I find amazing!
Actually its quite serious. BDC is not just found in women, there are plenty of men out there, in the gym and on the street doing what they can to be what a woman wants (in terms of body), and, just like women and fat loss pills, there is a significant increase in the amount of young males who are turning to steroids, just to gain the look they want.
So she can have a Kit Kat.
tl;dr
Conclusion: you're fat
I think the media should share a MASSIVE portion of the blame too dont you think ?
I know of that condition, I was referring to the amount of pressure from everyday life - such as magazines/papers, shops/advertisements and even just other people - e.g. a night out for an average man, bang on a shirt and trousers and some gloop in your hair. Job done. Not exactly the same for a woman's routine.Actually its quite serious. Then don't criticise me please.I cant be bothered to explain to be honest I just did. Read her post again its clear its a sensitive subject to her.
Out of curiosity though... Do you know... by any chance... how seriously screwy with peoples heads that can be? Just those words alone. "you're fat". Even if it's by someone who that person doesn't actually giving a flying monkeys about? Even if it's said to a person who is incredibly skinny?
Probably not.
Then don't criticise me please.
It is clear it's a sensitive subject, which is why she'd have gotten a lot more of a positive response if she'd bothered to post in a well thought out manner, having had such a personal experience of it rather then a bland emotional one.
Mindless slating of a girl who no one knows anything about...
... that bothers me and no doubt has a domino affect on many other women out there.
