The way I see goes like this.
I don't have a massive budget to buy cars.
My car history is not the best. lol
1st car - 106 diseil - blew up with head gasket (L reg lol, first car)
2nd car - Corsa 1.4 automatic (was terrible) but the only car locally I could find under £500 that evening which was TAX'd and MOT'd so I could get to work the next day. The car lasted 3 weeks. (S reg)
3rd car - Vauxhall Vectra 1.8 petrol (W reg)
4th car - MG ZS 1.8 (02 plate)
5th car - Subaru Impreza
I have 2 kids and my wife is currently in full time education now, so funds are limited.
I'm happy with my Impreza, it's the first "performance" car I have owned, and yes I know there are better cars out there, but with my limited budget of £4000 when I bought it I got a decent car, with good power levels. My car is great for the budget I have, yes if I have more disposable income then of course I would get a better, newer car. I would love a hawkeye STi in White, but cannot afford it at the moment(maybe once my wife is back working with a job she will enjoy).
My exhaust on my car has become faulty - with the downpipe blowing, causing my o2 sensors to go mental, causing the car to fuel badly - so I have decided to mod my car partly due to having needing a new exhaust pipe anyway. So to answer some of you guys, I have a car that is great for what I can afford
I wanted a fun car, I have a fun car. The car is 10 years old, 10 year old cars do/can look dated/ugly whatever. I prefer a car that feels fun to drive as apposed to being very pretty or boring. I am making the car a little more fun with a new exhaust so haters, go hate elsewhere
