I've just put my 2 month old skeleton case on ebay as i could not get used to it and brought a coolmaster sniper. My little daughter kept toutching the components when i was not looking. I did not want chloe to get hurt or my pc to die.

Nmae of my cooler is Zalman CNPS9500A LED

I got it from PC world of all places cos half way through the original build it became very clear the tuniq 120 wasn't going to fit, not by a long chalk (only had it 3 weeks that was a good investment wasn't it, I guess i'm not the only one with an ever increasing pile of cpu heatsinks and assorted PC gubbins dotted about the place

Don't think the thermaltake will fit as it looks like it's too tall. The coolermaster might but it will be very tight.

Shame ste-sim2x9, but not a good case if little hands have access!!!
How about meshing it in like bluntside????

Tempted to buy it from you to have a serious go at modding and not have to worry bout being without pc

Look what I found!

Can't see it for sale on any UK sites but as you can see it's an official Antec Skeleton mesh pack.

So that's near as darn it £200 for a plastic enclosure that you can't fit a decent CPU cooler into and some mesh stuff to 'protect' it?

I'm sorry, but I just don't see the attraction. A Banchetto just destroys it for looks, build quality and sheer practicality.

You don't need a super sized cooler in this case. I'm sure this has been covered before? It's all open air so the heat escapes and there's the 250mm directly above the motherboard. I fitted a Scythe Shuriken the other day and with its fan off I'm seeing 30C

I'm still more than happy with my Skeleton.

these antec skeleton cases do rock, sorry i have to say that no other case looks quite as good as the skeleton. The biggest dissapointment that i have had with mine at the minute is'nt cooling, noise nor looks but the range of cpu fans that you are restricted too.

Antec has always said that you do not need a fan for the processor with this case but the use of one has been reccommended by almost every review site on the net. Personally i don't trust the fan enough not to use the case without a cpu cooler, besides what happens when that beast of a case fan blows which will happen eventually.

They really should have made the case taller/wider to allow people to use the full range of cpu fans, it's almost like they intentionally did'nt want anyone using them which does'nt help when i blew £40 on a thermaltake heatsink that did'nt fit.

I think that the only time i will modd my case is when the LEDS and the case fan finally pop. When they do, i think i'm gonna take a hacksaw to the plastic cage that connects the case fan to the rest of the chassis and do away with it completely just leaving the side rails in tact and making it completely open topped (lol, i actually think that would make it look even better if you could sand out the saw marks).

hear hear
No case = no airflow problems. I used to have a tuniq tower 120 in my old traditional style case, and now have an "inferior" zalman model that just happens to reduce my temps by 15-20 degrees more than the tuniq.

Nice find by the the way avrc. Hows yours coming along? Does any one know where to get the mesh kits? Not sure I would fit the whole kit, maybe just some of the parts, and perhaps look at changing the colours, just to be that little bit dif.

I only found it as I was looking for Antecs contact details. I'm having to have my 250mm fan replaced. I noticed that my LED colour selection was no longer remembered when I shutdown and restarted (it would default to cycling through all the colours) and queried it with them. I was told I'd need a new fan, so I emailed the details they wanted and just waiting on a new one now.

Case wise I've done nothing to it but I've swapped the PSU and cooler (Scythe Shuriken low profile) the other day, both of which were lovely and simple to do, no faffing about removing the cover and struggling over the side of a large case to install the cooler. Yesterday I plugged an old Vista HDD in to test something which again was simple, popped off the side mesh panel and simply plugged it in sitting it on the desk next to the case.

You hate it yet can't help reading a thread about it and posting about it? Perhaps you should start your own hater thread, this one is about modding the enclosure.
