Monaco Grand Prix 2012, Monte Carlo - Race 6/20

How anyone could even begin to describe this as a good race is beyond me. Sure they all finished with a few seconds, but that was only because they were all being held up! Something needs to be done about this tyre situation, driving to save tyres ruins the races

Perhaps he was overcompensating for Alonso and didn't see Michael?

hes looking at alonso still so probably never even checked his mirror to make sure someone wasnt the other side.

time and time again grojean shows us he has pace but cant race

It's the track. Coulthard even said it early on that there's basically only one part of the track where the guy in front has to look in his mirrors, the rest of the time the guy behind has no chance of getting past outside of cutting a chicane (and getting penalised) or driver error on the part of the guy in front.

Monaco is a cool circuit in the sense of "what would it be like for F1 cars to drive on a street circuit", but that novelty wore off for me some time ago, it's a terrible spectacle for anyone not coincidentally partying on the boats and hotels.

Just prior to that he had rubbed wheels with alonso which sent him across the track.

Yep, that single shot that doesn't tell the true story.

In isolation it make it look like fat john drove MSc into the wall deliberately but that's not what happened.

He hit Alonso and either ricocheted back across the track or overcompensated and went into MSc.

I'm not saying he wasn't at fault, but it's not quite as clear-cut as that photo makes it look.

Seb had nowhere else to go, surely? There's no mechanism in place to correct the advantage he gained from it. You can't tell him to give back 3 places since the order has changed so much in the chaos, and you can't give him a drive through for not driving into an accident.

RBR back to their tricks again with the car I see. Clearly a hole in front of the tyre, in an attempt to get the lost downforce back so bad boy Seb can start winning again, seems like he can't handle a car thats not planted at the back.

Can't wait for next year's race when everyone takes the inside, skips the chicane and pleads ignorance. Its all good and well if you ended up in the same position on the track but gaining 4 places because the others were trying to be good sports, stinks!
