More jealousy.

Shocking damage but I agree with jamoor. It's just a shame that you can't have anything nice these days without someone damaging it. Hence why we have a little Aygo where I live, I wouldn't spend anymore on something that was sitting in the street!

Poor sod, feel really sorry for him. Such a lovely motor.

I've just checked his original thread. The car is actually a 2.0 TDI!

How on earth, no wait, WHY on earth do you spend £35,000 on a 2 litre diesel?!

I thought for that money it was at least a 3.0?

Looks like he's more than kept up with the jones's :D

haha i hate the 2.0 tdi, the passat i hired averaged 25 mpg at best and had bad lag (a lot worse then my focus tdci)

If only he hadn't have debadged it, the vandals would have seen 2.0 TDI and assumed it was only a £20k car and instead gone off to hassle someone else :p

in that case you best go take off the ghey M badge;)

Seriously?

And that is shocking how someone could do that to such a car. I read his previous thread a week earlier about how much effort he put into cleaning and as Lopéz said, some bored kids probably walked past him a few times whilst he was cleaning it and thought it would be funny to wreck it later that night? Hopefully karma comes round and hits them in the face.

Yup. I would go and **** on her grave too if I thought Karma wouldn't get me.

Do you have lead feet?!

My dads octavia 2.0TDI easily manages 45mpg without even trying.

I would agree with Fox's take on this, there seems to be more to it than mere jealousy.

Thats not as bad as the A3 Convertible they have up at my local Audi garage. Its a 2.0T (non quattro) S-line and its £32495!

Apparently its good looking yet a bit rubbish to drive. They've tried to make it more like a BMW and feel more 'sporty' whilst not realising that most people buy Audi's becuase they are NOT BMW's..

Oh dear Audi :(

This exact thing happened to my cousins brand new 330i. It was around 4 weeks old and they've never caught the person who did it. It cost quiet a bit to get it resprayed.

I don't think it's jealousy as such.

My guess is - local wasters see man putting lots of effort into cleaning car, and decide to "teach him a lesson" for doing so. Blokes probably never done anything to warrant it except be seen cleaning the thing.

It happens a lot, people are weird. My mate's parents lived in their house for years with no issues, then one day they decided to spruce the house up, paint it and lay new turf outside. 2 days later someone had trashed the lawn and thrown eggs all over the front of the house. Some people are just like that, never understood it myself.

i wouldnt be suprised if they'd seen it on detailing world

remember the reaction VXR mark got for his obsession with his new Blue Astra VXR ? He put zymol royale on it, ordered brand new custom tailored leather seats and machine polished etc.. and generally spent days making his already brand new car .. even more new looking

He got called all the names under the sun and took serious abuse as the link went round the internet

wouldnt be supprised if something similar happened this time, except somebody recognized it and went and poured paint stripper on his car.

infact i can't even remember the last time i saw a new shape A4

Thats just it, loads have no doubt passed you, as they are a bit bland, you have not noticed one of them. :p

Shame but not surprising at all.

More to this story than meets the eye imo.

I didn't get the chance however, she dropped dead a few days later. Im a strong believer in Karma.
LOL, we had the same when we found out an old noisy, drunken neighbour of ours dropped dead about a year after we moved away. I actually laughed out loud when I found out.

Regards the car, I can sort of see what Fox is on about in that it's not exactly a Ferrari but I think it's still possibly that it was just a random jealousy/hate attack by kids who'd spotted him detailing it. I do however think it's more likely that there's more to it and perhaps he has history with the perpetrators.

I dunno, I 2nd glanced when I saw the new shape on the road. The car which has been ruined by scum irrespective of spec engine size etc looks awesome. The saloon 3 series looks bland IMO. Box on wheels
