MOTO GP 2011

We're not making fun of his name, just his character.

And they are valid reasons in your opinion, that doesn't mean they are facts. Don't forget that.

No they are valid reasons in general. Someone crashes in to you, takes you out of a race, you have a valid reason to complain about it.

Making fun of their name says a lot about your character though :)

Fatigue, at this level???

Shall we post vids of the crash that ended Raineys career then, maybe Mickey D's...go find more

PS Wasn't the rumour that someone in the Ducati team was a little too friendly with Adriana???

Pointless again. A setback/injury/disease/whatever is a setback/injury/disease/whatever. It was pretty widely reported here (AUS) but well done on trying to rubbish it or put a spin on things with the "little too friendly with Adriana" thing.

So Stacey has a tummy bug and you feel fit to post a vid of 'the goat' snapping his leg in half?

Want an Aussie rider, look there...and Daryl Beattie just for giving his opinon on the Simoncelli stuff :D...you may need to look those names up though...
:)

It was an accident.

Of course you can be angry, but thats all. And I think he has had that name a long time, I didn't invent it you know.

And as we are looking at some vids..

Disgraceful. Who does he think he is?

Troy Bayliss, and where did he come to learn his skills on a superbike?
:)

Again you go on with your moronic name calling. I think I'll stick with calling you jane.bda :)

We've had a lot of great Aussie riders, my favourite being Doohan. A man's man, very down to earth too. Surprised you know about them, you strike me as extremely uneducated about the sport and well better less said really.

So why the labels on him. There's a reason he can be angry however valid it may be, yet morons seem to be keeping up the name calling. What was the premise behind the punch. I don't agree with it, but surely there is something behind it.

Was it because DePuniet moved into Stoners path while slowing down. Probably shouldn't have punched the guy, but not a smart move on Randy's behalf. Furthermore, again quite reckless and dangerous. 2 sides to a story, don't just blindly ignore the other side and charge in valiantly. Makes you out to be a moron.

Again, people bag him out but the only time I've seen him complain is when there was a valid reason to.

Well, i posted about Doohan and Rainey a while ago...gave you time to Google them, still not sure about this Kevin Schwartz bloke though.

Uneducated...hell, i may not be the most knowledgeable...but i ain't the one digging myself a hole here...only been following GP's for the past 20 years or so...
:)

Google them? Me? haha, again, pathetic troll is pathetic. I've been following motoGP and motorcycle racing for quite some time. I think you mean "Kevin Schwantz" by the way. I wasn't around when he was but I've seen some old footage.

You've dug a hole to China and back. Your posts give out an impression that you're incredibly bias/one sided and rather petty.

You're right about one thing, you're not knowledgable, not in the slightest :)

Why is what should be an awesome thread such a bitchfest?

Seriously, the arguments in here would be more fitting in a glee club debate than the top division motorcycle racing championship. Anyone currently in a stupid argument, just quit, regardless of wether you are winning or losing, just be the bigger man. It's the internet FFS!

Damn, you fell for the mispelt name :D, and me, i was around then and saw some of the greatest 500cc races ever...seems you know best though really...

Give us the lowdown on that then...bet you have an opinion...

To be fair, it should just be a bit of banter about the riders, but this guy has taken huge offence about the Moaner thing.

If he tries to force his opinion then he is going to get peoples backs up.

On the video, it's a beautiful circuit. Racing was awesome then, much harder too. I wish I was around to see it, that and the F1. Now it's more about politics. I liked racing at it's best, but also with some sort of gentlemanly respect.

In some ways, many racers now are too brutal, whether due to sponsorship pressures or whatever. This video for me raises the question of whether modern riders could have competed against their peers of older generations.

EDIT: For what it's worth, it's a great vid, so I give you cred for finding that.

F1 sucks, you don't agree with MotoGP then try BSB...this season so far you won't be disappointed...

no no no no

You're around now, you can still see previous races, but back then, you can't see the equally awesome battles on the track that happen now.

I think people get this hazy eyed perspective of the old days. Oh it was better, it was harder, the races were more fun etc etc...

Whereas in reality i think you just remember the best bits, this mentality is proven in women that have more than one child ;)

Living in the present is as good as you can get to being able to time travel.

Seeing all the youtube vids reminded me to look up a cool clip. Who remembers this one handed final corner celebration where Melandri lit up the rear at Phillip Island? :)

F1 is fantastic and with some new adjustments passes actually happen. I like motor racing of any form. Never said I disagreed with MotoGP. In Australia we actually get your BSB and we used to get your BTCC. Was good to watch.

Very valid point. The machines were different then but I suppose each era raises it's own challenges.

Great vid. What puzzled me about Melandri (and to a lesser extent Hayden) is why they are so inconsistent. I'm not sure whether they had issues with their bikes but they were either hit or miss.

I will stop watching when the riders have this.

There has to be some form of respect given out to your rivals.

To think they don't have even a pinch of respect would be naive. They have all raced from an early age, they all know how not to be a ****. Not one of them would purposely end another riders race. However, something more evident in MotoGP compared with, say, F1 racers is if they think they can win, all rules go out the window and they will do what they can.

Probably to do with relative costs. You go down the leagues and the entertainment factor is huge. Not because they aren't good racers and constantly crash, but it's just they don't give a damn if they break the wing mirror or buggar up the bumpers, they can still race 110% with little to no consequence.
