Motors YouTube Videos

Problem with all the new M cars that, even the V8 M5's sound rather subdued. That is why your M3 probably won't lose you a penny and if you keep it as long as you keep your S2000 it will probably make you a few quid. :)

Yeh not sure I’ll keep it that long. I’m hardly driving it at the moment.

Popped over to Europe last week with a couple of mates, for the first time in a car rather than on bikes (that's next weekend :) ).

We were actually very glad not to be on bikes, as the weather was pretty awful until Friday. Drove some good roads through the Black Forest and the Ardennes, and the Vosges. The Belgian side of the Ardennes is really poor now - they don't appear to have put any meaningful maintenance into the roads for the past couple of years.

No time for a full video, so just a teaser.

The BMW performed well. Makes you appreciate the development over the past few years compared to the other two cars on the trip. I test drove a 140i shortly before the trip though - wish I'd had one of those instead!

The state of the roads in Wallonia is shockingly poor. Even on motorways that go through the different regions, you will notice a significant reduction in road surface quality as you cross the regional boundaries.

A few years ago there were traffic jams on the Brussels Ring as traffic slowed to a crawl to avoid potholes on a regional boundary into Wallonia

-edit: nice drone shots! Shame I'm on my phone and it looks like micro machines :D

Anyone wondering how easy or hard it is to install a supercharger on a Mustang, well CJ's just put up a new video:

Some may find it difficult, but I did this to my Saleen Mustang, install process is pretty much identical. I also did the GT350 intake manifold on my last Mustang and again the install process is very similar too, but of course less work when just changing out intake manifolds.
But to me the SC install was quite a straight forward process and I completed it in a weekend in OcUK warehouse using hand tools and it put my Saleen upto nearly 600HP.

So if you own a Mustang or thinking about it, then decide you want some big power, thats how easy it is and if you go custom tuned, stage 2 your looking at around 800HP at the crank. :D

What a stunning car:

Love the lime green car, think it looks incredible from every angle, my only complaint is those tiny looking MX5 style headlights which am not keen on but it can be forgiven.
Don't think I'd replace the SVR with one but it is nice to see another incredible British car on the market that is no doubt going to be a big hit. :)

Stunning car..... And if I were in your position. I would ditch the SVR in a heart beat lol.

Problem is, the SVR does many things better, dare I say it, the SVR is also far more depreciation proof due to its power plant, the fact I got it used at a fair price and that the 5.0 SC won't be in use much longer by Jaguar which could really make it a very special and collectable car, there is still under 100 registered SVR coupes on the road in the UK, its stupidly rare, especially in blue with carbon pack and fixed spoiler, that is why there is none for sale and when they do appear its a mad frenzy by people trying to buy them.

Plus the SVR is the ultimate road car, I dare pretty much any such class of car be quite as good as it is for been so capable in all weathers and it sounds bloody epic, don't want to jinx things but its a solid car too, revels been driven hard to the point it feels like a big EVO just with better balance and a lot more power, the SVR always feels over engine which is a great feeling in any car. When I feel the need for big slides, drifts and skids, I jump in my M3. :D

Do like the Aston, I bet in the dry it has a nicer balance as its more a sports car, weighs less and has a perfect 50/50 distribution with them cleverly sticking the ZF8 over back wheels and having got the ZF8 in the SVR I have to say my wantings for a dual clutch are no more, I find the ZF8 on the SVR map simply epic and you can bet Aston have perfected it even more, they have also done what Jaguar failed to do by running a shorter final drive to further improve acceleration. As such the Aston is nearly as quick in a straight line as my SVR due to its slightly less weight and shorter ratio's even though its less power.

For me V8 Vantage would be more a side step, different badge, different handling characteristics but end of the day very similar abilities and both very rare sightings.

I don't know what will come after SVR, a 570S Spyder is a favourite choice, just a shame they sound poo in comparison, GT3 was other option but since the SVR am a little unsure now on GT3 and GT3 was my dream car for so long, which is really test amount to how good the SVR is to make me not want one so much any more. :)
