Its a chicane, but they don't go through it on the opening lap to allow for a side by side rolling start. After they pass at the start the chicane is quickly rebuilt and the tyre walls put in place.
Ah that makes more sense!

It's such a shame. The same is happening to Robin Frijns. Won Renault junior categories, and WSR3.5, now in GP2 although missing races due to lack of funds but has still won a race in a mid-field team, and he's now lost his reserve driver status at Sauber.
I really feel for the young drivers in the sport at the moment. Unless you've got millions to spend, or a government backing you, talent doesn't matter
Doubt it would ever be the one on the right as it's a mobile fag packet, corrupt, non-tax paying communications provider as the main sponsor or not.

Summary: Good driver who's won numerous races and championships in the UK, can't move up due to lack of finances. Gets a Star Mazda test in the US, wants to race there because of the Road to Indy structure. Guess I'll see him in Indycar in a few years![]()

True, although it's a moot point anyway, as there's pics of the cars in Monza now. McLaren have the usual livery, with a '50th Anniversary' laurel on the side of the car between the front wheel and the side pod.I don't think you're allowed to drastically change the livery mid-season any longer, though you may be allowed if all of the teams agree to it?

Good luck to him, hope he goes on to do well. Must be a horrible situation when winning championships to suddenly hit a brick wall due to money.
Hopefully something will be done to sort it out although I can't see that happening the way things are at the moment money is just too damn important. The fact it's affecting the feeder series so much now is kind of making them seem pointless, as they are there to show off ability not backing.
