I'll be amazed if that's true, given his apathy towards them in 2009. I can only imagine it's a case of wanting out of Lotus more than wanting in to Ferrari.

Hopefully The Hulk gets his seat.

I can't imagine Alonso would be too pleased. But then he hasn't really done himself any favors recently.

There is the risk that Kimi/Alonso would do a Hamilton/Alonso and shoot themselves in the foot.

Or, it could be brilliantly epic to watch them scrap, if the Ferrari is up to the job.

Either way, gonna be interesting. Massa to Sauber, Hulk to Lotus then?

I really hope those rumours are true. But if they do end up with two WDC drivers in the team, I just hope they build a competitive car. And even if they build a Red Bull style dominant car, the WDC will still be interesting as we see who comes out on top between Kimi and Alonso.

Alonso will dominate Kimi as much as he does with Massa, I really doubt he is bothered about Kimi coming in the slightest. Ferrari know Kimi is not all that good which is why they paid him to go far away :D

Given that all Ferrari care about is Ferrari winning, who looks better here?

With the ferrari being a bit of a nightmare in recent years kimi will get swamped like he did the last time. If they build a car like Brawn did in 09 then it could be an good scrap. If the car is even slightly nervous then Alonso will have no issues at all.

I think the only reason Alonso had issues with Hamilton, other than being Ron's baby, Hamilton can adapt quickly to a poor car and drive around the negatives. Kimi cannot. He will though do a far better job of taking points out of Alonso's rivals than Massa, who taken about 3 points in 15 years out of Alonso's rivals ;)

Bye Massa, enjoy Sauber.

You would be hard pressed to find any real Ferrari fans that would swap Kimi for Alonso. Those stats are really great though, next you could say Massa is better Alonso since he has 2 WCC for Ferrari.

I can't wait to hear what Alonso will start crying down the radio when Kimi beats him.

I'd rather kimi go to Ferrari than stay at lotus not giving a F

Cause when that happens he just isn't a good asset
RG and NH is fine with me.

I think Kimi and Alonso would work well together, I think they both respect each other and while Kimis incentive might just be a fat pay cheque, Alonsos might be to keep ahead of Kimi.

They just need a car to do the job, no doubt that pairing will ensure competitors dont get a haul of points if they do...

The prospect of Kimi and Alonso in the same team isn't quite as mouth-watering as it would have been in the mid 2000s. I think Kimi's lost some of the raw edge he had which made him one of the fastest guys out there—I still think he's very good, and obviously his experience has reaped major rewards in the past couple of years, but if this were to happen I'd feel less enthused about it than I would have done previously.

That said, it would still be some sight, and second only to Alonso partnering Vettel.

I would expect more friction back then, I do think both have nothing to prove to each other and are a bit older and wiser. I doubt theres any bad blood between them considering Kimi was effectively bought out of his contract when Alonso replaced him, but Kimi was quite happy to see the back of F1 then...

It makes me wanna watch next season and I wouldnt have said that before this news
