Which at the time I said was entirely possible and without the requirement of introducing a stepped nose. You disagreed :p

Anyhow, 'we shall see' if they introduce a stepped nose, so far they haven't and I don't think that's likely to change by the end of the season.

They changed the nose to get more air under it though, so not quite sure why you are ignoring that?

Which was the whole point of the step nose.

And they were able to run a high nose without a step, just like I said, that you contested.

And much like I predicted at the time, you can't just admit you called it wrong :p

No, i'd just like to see you actually admit to being wrong about McLaren needing a stepped nose for once, much better than a cookie :p

You argued they would need a step to do that, they don't.

You actually don't have the ability to just admit when you were wrong do you?

BBC Radio 5 Live had an excellent show about a double CART champion, double Paralympic gold medallist and double amputee on Thursday Night. Mr Alessandro Zanardi.

It's up on iPlayer. Sadly the show went on a couple of minutes too long, and the end has been cut off on the iPlayer edition (how can it be to include all of the ******* show?).

Are you taking the ****?

I think he genuinely believes what he's typing. Which scares me beyond belief, but doesn't surprise me all that much.

It's not as though it's a mahoosively difficult concept. There's no step in the nose. The tip of the nose is lower, and the curvature of the structure has changed, but unlike the vast majority of the grid there isn't an acute angle down to the nose and crash structure from the monocoque and cockpit. It's not a stepped nose. Not by any stretch of the term. Unless you define "step" as "shallow slope" of course....but then you're the kind of person who needs a minder to keep sharp objects out of your way ;)

Hmm... wrong orange Ron.

Just a stand at the Paris motor show. The McLaren road cars on the stand are that colour so they have painted an F1 car that same colour. Vodafone don't have anything to do with the road cars so I doubt they could use a fully liveried car.

I'd love to see orange McLaren's back, but not that orange.

I would imagine this new 'panel' will crumple on impact (offering zero impact resistance) and therefore not intrude into whatever it hits, which would keep the whole point of the 'low noses' intact. Why? Maybe because the step noses are pig ugly.
