One test against Bianchi? What track was this at?

Does that mean Bianchi is quicker in all conditions on every track in the world then?

Amazing journalism there.

It's a bit more advanced than your home PC :)

I think Ferrari had more data and knowledge than either of us, they might well be wrong we shall see.

you still cant feel the grip and wheel slip like in real life though.

all the subtle signs drivers rely on arent there with sims.

its one of the reasons simulators often have horrible wheel screeching sounds its so you can hear the level of grip you would otherwise be able to feel

Not everyone can use the simulators either. Apparently Michael Schumacher hates them as they give him motion sickness. Never stopped him did it?

Michael didn't spend his first career in simulators, he spent it going round and round Fiorano until they dragged him in because it got to dark and they wanted to go home :D.

that was the earlier simulators aswell kimi had the same motion sickness in the first simulator ferrari had.

times have changed and i expect technology has aswell

Some epic footage on TV already from the first two days of racing. Had a really good intro to the race showing all the historic footage and old winners with it being the 50th year, had me close to tears.

Was MEGA hot today for spring, 28c in Bathurst but its forecast to change tomorrow which should be interesting. The top 10 qualifying places are decided in a shootout later on in the day. 11-29 are already decided from today.

Town is insane, the population at least doubles if not triples during race day. I think 200'000 people total come through the town over the course of the week which is only 40'000. Imagine that in the UK!

Has to be one of the top 5 tracks in the world, amazing.

William Hill look to be the only place with 2013 F1 WDC odds up so far. Perez is 10/1, the same as Hamilton and Kimi, and ahead of Webber who's at 14/1. Looks like he's getting a lot of action as I thought someone said he was 15/1 just after he signed for McLaren.

Still might throw an each way on him...

I don't think it's good odds. I don't see him beating Jenson in his first year at Mclaren. Qualifying might be a good battle but even then I expect JB to beat him. It's not like Kobi has been a great qualifier the last couple of years and he has the measure of Perez on saturdays this year.

I think they are being a bit tight with Hamilton at 10/1 as well. 20/1 I'd have a punt on Perez or Hamilton. 10/1 just isn't worth the effort for me.

JBs 8/1, 3rd favourite behind Alonso and Vettel.

Which is odd... Vettel being that high up with Webber much further down suggests the punters have faith in the driver more than the RBR car.
