Nice, sounds like a good idea.

Any details on the actual compounds they are using? I know they wanted to scrap the hard, and rebrand the medium to hard and then create a new compound between medium and soft that would then become the medium. Or something like that.

All the dry tyres are softer. 2012 soft is equilivent of the 2011 super soft.
Wets are apparently pretty unchanged.

Although, the name they are using is of a green, long lasting, low rolling resistance tyre. Just what you need with 750bhp on a wet track.

Nissan are the latest to join the GT3 crowd with the GT-R.

Oh my!

Mansell proved that good drivers in F1 can dominate in America, and people like Bordais proved that being good in America can translate to being nothing more than mediocre in F1. Rubens could do very well out there, especially on road circuits.

Pat "Integrity" Symonds has got a handle on the problems that Marussia have had so far. Apparently, it's only the aerodynamics - the rest of the car is fine.

"I think it's true to say we do a lot of competitor analysis, a lot of analysis of where we are, and I think mechanically the car was much better than a back-of-the-grid car," he told AUTOSPORT.

"The performance in the slow corners was much closer to the norm than it was in the fast corners. The car responded to changes pretty well, it used its tyres pretty well, it wasn't a difficult car to drive, so I think our low-speed performance was reasonable. The high-speed performance wasn't good - and then of course you look at aerodynamics.

"Let's face it, most of the performance from an F1 car now comes from aerodynamics, that's where we were lacking and that's where it put us back."

*sigh*

Prat.
