Anyone caught Alonso's latest nonsense about Lewis and Lewis' Twitter retort?

It's amazing

Alonso literally making up his own reality to make himself feel better about Lewis having a more successful career than him.

That season where they were teammates and he got equalled (well, technically beaten even) has wrecked him.
lol..that response was pure gold...this Lewis should fire back more often...hopefully he shuts Nando up as well for saying the same thing.
The fact he insulted himself more as Lewis had to beat him as well to win a Championship is hilarious.
Max only won last year becuase of what happenned, and this year hes gonna win with the most points ahead of P2...yea...yea..Max earned them more lol.

Alonso has regrets for sure, he made many bad decisions. But he is a success in his own right. Alonso, and other non british drivers, have stated on many occasions, you say anything against British drivers it gets turned into a controversy by the British commentators and media (as well as some others). Or even worse, many times the quotes are just taken out of context to create headlines. He is kind of right, it's a very British sport in a lot of ways.

Alonso only has himself absolutly to blame for his time in F1, its not much talked abotu how he tried to bloody well bribe the mechanics on Hams side of the garage to slow his car down, I mean come on, he's been more or less turfed out of each team he has been cause no one seems to like working with him. Then we get stuck with him again being a donna when he made a big deal of retiring.

I agree, he's no saint and the agent of his own downfall in many ways. But he's done other things outside F1, so I'm not judging him exclusively on F1 stuff.

Still a 2 time champ and the ONLY person on the grid in the last 10 years who beat Schumacher (possibly the modern GOAT) at his peak, regularly. So I give him props for that.

What I said about British media and drivers still stands, many have said it, not just Alonso.

I do think he's one of the best driver to grace the field, especially in defensive driving, and yes the media gets out of control, but ya know.....I haven't seen other fans " black face" at a race side track, then Alonso kept real damn quiet about denouncing it publicly.

Nah Alonso has done nowt for ages, the 'British media' suck up to him all the time, the reality is he's done sod all for over a decade

One driver two cheat gates, at least, look at the deeds not the words.

That was unforgiveable to be honest, and really petty from Alonso. I'm glad that when I went to the Spanish Grand Prix a few years ago that those types of idiot Spaniards don't turn up anymore!, but Yes, Alonso was quiet, and quite clearly because Hamilton was the victim/target. Racism has no place in the sport and anyone who doesn't speak out, is in some way, part of the problem.

1 FIA world endurance championship and a 24 hours Le Mans winner. Both in the last 5 years......

You are kidding aren't you?
OK hulkenberg one lemans when there was actual competition and that new Zealand failed toro rosso bloke must have won it and the championship, probably Mike Conway, the Japanese guy that kept crashing. Nakajima, Buemi, blimey did Webber win it as well?

Mcnish won it a few times again when there was actual competition.
No Alonso in reality has achieved very little in the modern era.

That abu dhabi day when he couldn't overtake the slow Russian in a slow car even though his championship depended on it, then the look in his eyes when Vettel got that car to the Finnish in Brazil.

I don't know why you are so upset. You stated he had done sod all for a decade, and I proved you were being hyperbolic. If you want to put footnotes on every championship then so be it! But the wins are on the record.

What?

He literally said it. Nothing has been taken out of context.

Alonso made up some alternative reality whereby Lewis' only competition for his championships have been his teammate, which simply isn't true.

Alonso has always been massively butthurt about Lewis matching him at McLaren and making better career choices whilst he has floundered about at midfield teams for years.

Outside of his teammates, it was that one year where Ferrari did that thing with the engine, and then 2021.

2008 - his teammate finished 7th!
2017 - his teammate finished 3rd
2018 - his teammate finished 5th

That's 3 out of the 7 he wasn't directly and only fighting his teammate.

Alonso is making up an alternate reality to help his mental difficulties with accepting Lewis' more successful career.

British pressed is biased but so are the press from other countries. You should hear the spanish f1 broadcasts. Marca doesn't even delete racists comments in hamilton related articles.

I’m not saying he was, I’m saying Bottas and Rosberg were the only ones during the hybrid era who could have challenged him. Up until 2021, no team had the car and team competency to compete.

He only really had to race one other car, which is probably Alonso’s point.

I know that anything other than F1 basically gets ignored in this forum but crazy finish to the NASCAR race just now. Ross Chastain with a desperate last corner move straight from the Gran Turismo playbook
