Christian Horner saying that there's basically no chance of Ricciardo being back for Singapore and even Japan a week later would be "optimistic" - big chance for Lawson.

I feel like Lawson has already done enough to secure a seat next year. Ricciardo really needs to get back in that seat and start impressing though.

Yeah probably, although you know what Red Bull are like, I think Ricciardo's position largely depends on what they do with Perez - if (and it is an if) I can't see Perez taking a demotion to AT like one of the juniors did (Albon/Gasly).
I don't see RB putting Lawson straight into a Red Bull seat - if Ricciardo can come back and prove himself I think that'll be his seat for next year in place of Perez - ahead of someone else coming in for 2025 (My money's on Norris - in fact I suspect given recent paddock chatter that might already be a done deal).

It's not great, but it's hilarious they were all caught so quickly.
Lets rob this professional athlete, who drives for the most prestigious car maker in the country, whilst he's with this person that trains him. We'll definitely get away on foot. :D

Honestly Horner (and Helmet) is such a piece of work that I'm sure he's only ever used Ricciardo to put Perez in his place. It'd totally be the RB way to take a punt on a rookie like Lawson. If he starts winning (even over MV god forbid) they can proclaim the second coming of christ and all that. If he doesn't, well who cares. I've always thought Norris would be going to RB. He's blinded by his friendship with Max, and honestly although he's a decent driver he's never really shown any grit or determination to win. Therefore in the back of his mind (perhaps subconsciously) he'd readily accept being P2 in a 'top' team over being the best driver in a number 2/3/4 team (depending on the day). He is also a heck of a lot more consistent than Perez, which would be a good thing for RB.

Does Italy not have knife crime like over here? If I ever got robbed over here I'd always imagine it'd be at knife point -- or at least the threat of. No way I'd go chasing after them, that's what insurance is for.

This my thoughts. I mean, it's kinda of a fun story, but it was surely recklessly stupid for Sainz and his trainer to do that. Getting stabbed would have changed this into a completely different story. Not worth it for a sponsor's watch which is surely insured anyway.

FIA confirm that all teams were within the Cost Cap in 2022:
