I can imagine many at Mercedes will be glad that Lewis is leaving as they can get back to focussing on racing for change!! :D

I wonder if he has realised that a further championship is just as likely elsewhere than it is with Merc, now just deciding to tick off bucket list goals whilst he still has the opportunity. He's said in the past its something he'd like to do. You never know could be a genius move if Ferrari ace the revised 2026 regs... Will be interesting to see how he gets on in a team with what from the outside seems like very very different dynamics.

Yeah I don't think this is about getting the rightful #8 and more about just experiencing F1 from a Ferrari car.

Mind you, it says a lot about his character about not being scared to face a challenge. At his ripe old age too.

Mercedes who? I’ll be playing f1 2023 driving a Ferrari now, got to be the marketing men’s dream come true.

This is something I wonder about. I've been supporting Mercedes by proxy due to supporting Lewis. I imagine I'm not the only one who has done that... Is there about to be a huge exodus from Mercedes fans to Ferrari fans?

I haven't met anyone who is passionate about supporting Russell. Will the Mercedes support wane, especially if performance continues to dip, and be reflected in loss of merchandise?

Not that it really has an effect on on track performance.

With Lewis going, it doesn’t look too for Mercedes performance this or next season.

You wouldn’t leave a team if you think they had something special in the car.

I expect another comfortable year for red bull

Surely Merc will cut Lewis out from a lot of technical development meetings this year and will prioritise George for the 2024 season?
