On the balance of probabilities where would you put your €50 on that he did nothing or he did something dodgy?
There are apparently multiple instances, with written confirmation and statements from many witnesses. If what is suggested is remotely true he will be out on his ear.

Now, some have suggested that Newey's deal is conditional on Horner being boss and Horner's deal being conditional on Newey being there too. If Horner jumps or is pushed, could Newey walk away? Perhaps it is time for that house in Tuscany and a suitably large number on that blank cheque?

I can't see Newey walking away from F1. He might leave Red Bull, but reading his book and various interviews he loves the challenge too much to leave F1 completely

Newey was, himself, something of a hound dog by his own accounts and it cost him at least one of his marriages. I wouldn't be surprised to learn he got up things not similar to Horner back in the day. I wonder whether that will influence his decisions? He has talked of retiring more than once, and he is 65 already, but I think he's too addicted to his work to actually give up so easily.

There might be some contract break if Horner has to leave because of something dodgy. RB might also be able to leverage a "graceful" exit for Horner if there's consensus on nullifying the contract terms.

Assuming any of it is true.

Shock horror as obviously terrible person turns out to indeed be terrible.

With everything going on in the world and in politics etc, I can only come to the conclusion that people are incredibly poor judges of character.

Would turn out to be really interesting if Lewis joined Ferrari because he knew Newey was going there and helping to develope the 2025 car.

If Newey does go it won't have been known to Lewis beforehand, it'll be due to the fall out of Horner resigning/being fired. I wouldn't be surprised if he's negotiating a golden parachute. He apparently nearly went to Ferrari a few years ago but was talked out of it after a personal visit and many hours long chat with Mateschitz at Horner house.

Lewis at Ferrari might be an additional draw for Newey. A chance to work with another of the sport's true greats.

"In fight to save his career" is a pretty strong headline for the mainstream media...

EDIT: Hearing on Friday according to the BBC. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/68218956

Things are looking to get Spicy for Mr Horner. Can't say I Wannabe in his position right now. If the allegations are true (I wouldn't be too shocked with how he left his ex-wife) then Geri may see it as a giant red flag and before you know it, two become one.

As a Mercedes Ferrari fan I hope John Elkann is currently calling up Newey, what with everything going on, and plead down the phone "Say You'll be there(in Maranello)"

Ok, that's the end of my spice girls puns. I don't know any more songs.

You can stop now, thank you very much.

I guess Geri will be asking him to "Tell me why?", after he tried to get some Weekend Love she might even accuse him of Wasting My Time and say it's Too Much and that it is Goodbye.

Honestly, the Spice Girls must be veritable Nostradami given how many of their song titles are the perfect fit for this situation.

Lies and fake news spread by Mercedes British newspapers as Mercedes is based in the UK and Hamilton is British so they’re out to get Red Bull. There’s no need for a hearing as Horner is clearly innocent and shouldn’t have been investigated in the first place.

Am I doing this right @cuke2u ?

If you’re effectively head of an organisation any allegation like this is pretty much going to be game over for your career, whether they turn out to be true or not.
