Hmm.

"That’s why we decided to clarify that. Basically, what you see will see in the future is Visa Cash App Racing Bulls, and VCARB for an abbreviation.”

Understood? Good. The team will generally be known as VCARB in 2025, even though their full name, including their title sponsor, is Visa Cash App Racing Bulls."

Totally the opposite to this:
So to make it easier and save confusion, the 'Visa Cash App Red Bull' team known as VCARB, junior team to the Red Bull team, known as RB, will change their name to Racing Bulls, or RB.

Mind you, last year I said this.

I kinda hope the commentators are going to call them Vcarb.

Perhaps they actually will now.

I wonder if Visa Cash App realised that their attempt to get extra advertising by sponsoring the team name didn't work and have withdrawn that sponsorship.
It was two sponsors wasn't it? Visa was separate to Cash App and they just sold two naming spots rather than the usual one.

It's an awful name, I feel like Toro Rosso was the best one they've come up with. Alpha Tauri was alright although it still didn't feel as good as Toro Rosso.

Alpha Tauri was also a branded name, just less stupid than VCARB. I don't know they don't brand as "Visa Cash App Toro Rosso"? Seems better than having "Racing Bulls" and "Red Bull Racing".

Kind of a shame that it's Lawson in the Red Bull.

I'd really like to see Max up against someone genuinely really good/world champion material in the same car.

Lewis has been teammates with 3 world champions and is about to have Leclerc (arguably one of the best on the grid/a champion in waiting) as a teammate in his twilight years.

The best teammate Max has had is maybe Riccardo at his peak.

I hope before he retires, Max pairs up with one of the other top drivers.

Sadly we'll never see him partnered with Alonso which is what I'd have loved to see; young(ish) Champ v the old Master to see who comes top; would be fun to watch!

He beat Verstappen, but also only won 8 races in his whole career. So yeah.. maybe not.
He didn't have the car to win a lot of races when he was at his peak, this was during the Mercedes dominance. He trounced Vettel in 2014 straight after Vettel won 4 championships in a row and was slightly ahead of Verstappen over a couple of seasons. If that's not a world champion level driver then I don't know what is. I think there's some recency bias because he lost his speed as he got older, people forget how good he was.

I think he was very good but I really don't think he was world champion level. There's a lot of 'revisionism' where we forget that Vettel spent the first half of that entire season running experimental setups/different upgrades as Red Bull tried to figure out their car, much like Hamilton did for the last few seasons with Mercedes.

He's not a world champion level driver because he never won a world championship, unfortunately that's the measure. He chose to leave Red Bull when they were increasingly becoming more competitive and, whilst I do agree that recently people are forgetting how quick/good he actually was, I also think people also overrate him slightly by that same logic.
