Pointless Celebrities F1 special on BBC1 right now. Christian Horner, Allan McNish, Claire Williams, Nigel Mansell, Suzi Perry, David Coulthard, Mark Webber and Murray Walker.

Suzi Perry just said to Horner she bets he wishes he was with Mercedes now. :p
 
I thought they would be after the whole franchise and rename it "iF," just for Murray and one of his classic one-liners.;)

Yeah, I can't see them being interested in F1. They'll mainly want the McLaren Applied Tech team no doubt.

Haven't Apple just laid off most of the team for the car they're rumoured to be building?
 
There's a new rumour in the press every 12 minutes with Apple and cars. It's now got to the point where it's like the boy who cried wolf. It might be the real thing this time but with so many other rumours and guesses which have proven wrong thus far, is this one any more legitimate?

Having said that, neither spokesmen would confirm or deny.

Telegraph seem to suggest Apple are after the whole group mentioning the F1 team specifically as being included.

The interesting thing I thought was the quote -

“We can confirm that McLaren is not in discussion with Apple in respect of any potential investment,” a spokesman said. An Apple spokesman said the company declined to comment on rumour and speculation.

Would a complete buyout be classified as an "investment" or a "takeover"?:D
 
Well, as Jim Hacker once said, "Press statements aren't given under oath." :)

However, a complete buyout by Apple would be an investment for them!
