Mountain Biking

Definitely a lot longer than myself, maybe just over 2 years (with time out the country etc)

:/ will do tomorrow. The kitchen isn't very photogenic!

Ride a better shock, and you will see how vile the RP23 is ... you bought a SB66, so you can;t go and claim poverty! :p

Ha, that was several years ago and since then I've spawned a child, life isn't quite the same! Also what I actually bought was a second hand Lapierre Spicy which snapped and insurance payout covered the SB66 frame to replace it, was a bit of a wheeler dealer process and hence my forks and wheels being older :)

I would like to try a different shock on the same bike. Only non-Fox shocks I've ridden have been things like a cane creek db coil on a too-big-for-me Nomad, hard to really know what's going on for sure.

Found a set of pikes with the Fast charger in, have read good things about this 'mod' has anyone used them?

At 425 with the it just done by TF Tuned 8 weeks ago it seems rather tempting.

Spotted that one on pinkbike - the selling it bought an old pair of BOS devilles off me a while ago. He doesn know what he's talking about too, so If he’s honestly getting another Pike with the same set-up, then I think that’s a good testimony of them. Only read reviews, saying the Fast cart is excellent, and does appeal to me personally, as I like having separate control of high speed and low speed compression

ps: I do not care for your kitchen, I care for the bike

Cry all you want, you're a Yeti owner and therefore you have the obligation to be loaded and/or act like it. Not dissimilar to your Carbon Santa Cruz crewmates.

Spends fortune on frame, puts dire suspension on it... excecutable offense imo! :D

even with a few extras..

Vorsprung Corset Air Sleeve 79.00
Fox Shock Refresh Service Kit 26.99
Float Air Spring Volume Tuning Kit (non CTD) 23.00

128.99

still cheaper than a PUSH..

I didn't put the suspension on it, it came that way! Don't often see Yetis with non-Fox shocks to be fair, although the 6c is coming with a Float X which I presume is a bit better?

I (tftuned) did the Push tune at the same time as a service and it definitely improved things. Another £80 on a Vorsprung corset then... or £370/400/500 for some version of Cane Creek (fortunately I'm light enough for the Inline if it's a good match with the bike). See I'm thinking rather than spend that much on it now, might as well put it towards a whole new bike more likely.

Bearing in mind the PUSH is long since done, I don't think I want the volume tuning kit, right? Or maybe I do. Looks like questions for TFTuned.

the fitting instructions recommend adding/removing volume spacers, which i know my RP2 doesn't have (at the least i dont have any to swap over). i guess you could install the sleeve and see whether you need a spacer or not.

I need to check up on what size can I have - I suspect it's LV which according to Vorsprung they say doesn't need the spacer. But if I go and actually do this I'll check it all more thoroughly first. Cheers.

Has anyone had their Reverb lose pressure and not keep it.

Possibly the seals have went? Think I might need to send it back..

Does anyone ride Swinley?

I did two loops of blue->red->blue. The hardest thing for me was the surface feels really slippery. I am not sure if my tyre pressure is too high or if I have the wrong tyres but I really worries about the front end washing out or slipping in the turn.

It is a great place for fitness but petrifying for me to try and navigate at speed!

You ride like a tampon, that would be the problem :p
At least your fitness is pretty up there, that's quite a trip... I can only manage the blue red blue (are you sure you did the whole red?)

Swinley and terrifying used in the same sentence... never thought I'd see the day.

You probably need to sort how you ride out, head over the top of the bars elbows out wide. More weight over the front will stop you sliding out everywhere. It feels unnaturual at first though!

Quite hard to find a picture to tell what I mean but - http://fcdn.mtbr.com/attachments/all-mountain/594771d1296433861-attack-position-040808leeattack.gif

Also watch videos (DH racing) and watch the position they use.

Think I'm going to book a hotel for wales for this Friday, worth doing BPW for two days or going somewhere else Friday?

Lol! I had a massive road crash ten years ago when my front tyre washed out so I get pretty nervous when the front end slips and my weight shoots forward.

Some of the red was closed because of forestry stuff so there was a diversion. I didnt strava it today either so I am not sure how far it was. It took about 3 hours though.

Edit- I also dont have a reverb yet so I was doing the whole thing with the saddle up.

I am going back tomorrow to try and do 3 loops. Will take the tips and try and improve tomorrow.

I also suck at the berms there.

I can point you in the direction of some wild local tracks? :p

Any recommendations for removing the stickers from the Trek 6300? Never been a fan of them, and if they can be removed, I'd like to take a few of them off :p

Fair play. I've done 2 x green, 2 x blue and 2 x red before they put all of the diversions in place and that was 55km. There's barely any elevation at Swinley so it's quite forgiving.
