What hyrdration packs are everyone using?

I've got a cheapo one from decathlon just now, which is fine with just water in but even though designed to carry stuff it's just awkward and doesn't fit comftorably.

Been looking at the Osprey stuff, or do I just go with camelbac?

osprey escapist 25. miles better than my previous camelbak. only drawback is slightly expensive and bladder not included. but its extremely well built, rain cover built in, magnetic hose tidy, loads of storage etc.

That's the one I've been looking at Neil - and at £60 it doesn't seem too expensive really. Acctually with another £20 for a bladder it does bring the price up.

The EVOC do look amazing, but at £120 for the FR Trail it's bloody expensive! But then it does have a back protector..

The FR trail looks good, but mine's just for use while trail riding - so went with one of the less bulky / smaller packs

As far as i'm aware the only real world difference is that the BB80 is availavble in 83mm, is gold and has longer thread on the driveside cup for BB fitment chainguides, seems like a pretty redundant feature in this day and age, but i guess there are still people using them.

Cant say i've had any long term experience of shimano BB's, got a set of the silver one in my bike tool kit but never needed to use it, but for that price what would it matter if the bearings only lasted a few months.

Thanks for clearing that up.

Instead of creating a new thread I'll post this in here.

Mountain biking helmets - Does anyone have any opinions of these three?

Fox Flux - £70
Bell Super - £60
Troy Lee Designs A1 Trail - £100

With helmets I suppose it depends on fit so ordered the 3 above to try on in store and pick one. Many good reviews of all 3 but each have their own negatives

I got the A1 recently after a recommendation here, its awesome, fit, looks, protection. Cant fault it tbh so far. I got mine for £75 on JE James Cycles.

Ta guys. No venting issues with the A1 so far? - that's the only downside I can see. The 2014 edition is £65 on JE at the moment but think I ordered the 2015 model from Evans.

The 2015 edition looks the same to me, except with a jazzy paint job (im sure worth the extra £35!!)
