hi guys i have tracked this fan down Nexus D12SL-12 would this fan be good for my new case that is comming, ie semi quite and also can push good air, i plan to have three of them at the front and 3 at the rear, would this be a good setup, bare in mind, atm im only using air cooling, so as you can imagine my fan choice is very important, not to mention i have to strike a balance wiht sound, since there will be 6 of these, not to mention the new pc build will be in my living room, i need to keep the noise down as much as possible, so i also hope th enew psu ariving on monday , is quieter than my present one.

again thank you guys for the replies.

Just a wee update, ive ordered 6x Sharkoon 120mm Silent Eagle 2000 Fans. that bit was realy easy the realy hard bit is trying to find the fan grills, in black or green, absolute nightmare so far i have been looking for an hour.
This case is costing me a fortunei still got lighting to go also, lol

Unless you are sticking a fan controller on all of them (Haven't read all the above), you want to get the 1000 120mm ones. The 2000's flow tons of air at default voltage, they aren't at all quiet. The 1000's are very quiet at default voltage and flow good air.

If you look for "AC Ryan FanGrill Classic 120mm Black" or "AC Ryan FanGrill Classic 120mm Dark Green" in the uk you should find them pretty quickly :). I use the black ones of these.

Thank you , but damn they are pricy for plain old grills, i have to say there is absualtley no choice for 120mm fan grills, most are grome, plenty of 80mm ones, a nice clear one would have been nice to show of the nice white blades of my fans, nice contrast of the black case i think, but then if there was nice bright yellow fans of a descent quality i woudl of bought them instead, oh well, gonna leave it for a week or two and see if any others turn up.
thanks for all the help, the worst part is the waiting lol
i want it now

Im running 5 x 2000 rpm sharkoon fan for the watercooling and 4 x 1000 rpm on the case cooling, the 1000 are very quiet and push a fair bit of air,the 2000 are also quiet and you could get away with running them without a fanbus.

The parts that come with these fans is very good, molex cable and rubber fan mounts.

I have a MCubed BigNG with a MiniNG extension to use to control all my Fans/Pumps/Lights..
It's expensive but from what I have heard it is the best on the market atm.
Will monitor Pump RPM's and shutdown on pump failure etc etc... and other safety features as well.

I knew i had forgotton something, fans/grills/ and lights, thats what i get for ordering it so early in the morning, i guess the quest continues, any ideas guys on fans grills, and a fan light controler?
many thx

the sunbeam controller is great, it's cheap looks ok and handles 20w per channel.

yate loons are a great choice imo, cheap & quiet plus powerful enough for my PA120.3 rad and work great with the sunbeam controller, no buzzing or other side effects. they hold my load temps @ 3.75ghz to 45c max running orthos small fft, blend avg is about 41c.

personally i think sharkoons and the like are overpriced.

i thought they were like 12 quid or so ....seems not.

still i got my yates for about 3quid each so anything seems expensive next to that.
