MSI UK Details its Sandy Bridge Exchange Program

I got the email asking me to choose a collection date, which I duly replied to and did, but haven't received any confirmation of this so I'm starting to worry that I'll end up dismantling my rig and taking a day off work only to have no collection :( Did anyone else get confirmation of their collection date? Being poor I opted for collect then replace so no backup to keep me going if I've missed something.

I've got the same issue although I did an advanced replacement. Replied to the email asking for a date for collection of my old board but I'm still waiting for confirmation.

sorry if you guys are waiting on anything, i'm on a much needed week off, everythingt will be back to normal by next week.

please note, since my trust email is getting hammered by the z68 competition some messages may get missed for a while.

Hmm, decision time. I guess if no one shows up to collect it'll be a good excuse to have a good clean.

EDIT: confirmation email received today, I'm now a happy bunny

Got my confirmation email earlier. Just a couple of questions.

1. Do I need to send the accessories back with the board?
2. Do CityLink provide all the shipping labels etc. ?

No.

Just make sure you put the CPU socket protector on so the socket doesn't get damaged.

If you just wrap the box up I believe they stick a shipping label on when they collect.

Thanks. Just had it picked up although it was by a courier on behalf of Citylink. Hope he's stuck the label on

Just got my rebate cheque in the post. Also the refund is in hand just the sheer volume of work to deal with slowing things down. Don't panic people ScottiB seems to have it all in hand :)

yeah got my rebate cheque for £23.66 today aswell, good stuff msi. think that makes the board £117 or so, what a bargain

Rebate cheque also received today, thanks for the cashback and the fab motherboard replacement process, it swayed me to buying my new MSI 560ti.

Is anyone else having trouble getting a response from MSI?

I received my replacement B3 motherboard on Tuesday 3rd May but it's DOA.

I sent an email the same day and haven't heard anything back despite repeated emails. I understand that ScottiB was on holiday last week, but I thought I'd have heard something by now.

ScottiB, can you have a look please? If you need any further info, just give me a PM. I'd like to get this all sorted out.

Thanks.

Hi guys,

registration is now closed for the exchange, we extended it for a couple of weeks due the volume of registrations but we now have to call it quits so that we can get the remaining exchanges processed before our deadline for returns.

For those of you who have your new boards already I hope that you were happy with the service.

For those of you still waiting, we will contact you shortly.

Top notch scottib,Thanks to MSI for the rebate and swap out process.
Criticism arrives quickly and praise takes it's time.
So thanks again MSI,top job and I for one will look for the MSI label on anything i buy in the future.

Hi ScottiB,

Have you had a chance to look into my post at all (the one above your last post)? Since both our posts were posted at the same time I just want to make sure you didn't miss my post.

I don't want to seem impatient as I know it's only been a few hours, but the three previous emails I've sent MSI were answered very promptly and as I've not had any response in over a week, I feel like my emails are being ignored.

Thanks.

Heya,

you arent being ignored, i've flagged your email for follow up, i've just been swamped dealing with the backlog of work from my week off. I'll be in touch in a day or two.

Whilst I've got your attention though can you inspect the board and CPU socket for damage? The DOA rate on these boards is so insanely low that I haven't actually had to deal with one yet.

Received my B3 board today and it's up and running. Not overclocked as of yet, but there's plenty of time for that :)

Can anyone point me in the direction of the latest MSI Control Center? I have 2.1.008 at present.
