MSI UK Details its Sandy Bridge Exchange Program

I've just registered for the standard replacement. So I dont need to include any of the cables and extra bits that came with the original board? And do I need to cellotape the box up when I give it to the Citylink driver?

That's really the whole point of advanced replacement.

You receive the new motherboard, have time to fit it and then arrange collection when you're ready.
But I was ready. We agreed a Thursday delivery so I removed the old board on Wednesday evening, old board's ready for collection when new one arrives, new one installed on Thursday evening. I suppose 20+ years of Wintel support does help a bit. ;)

Excelletn service from MSI.

Just had my new B£ GD65 dropped off and already installed.

I've got one question on what I need to do next to soret out collection of the old model GD65?

Total PC downtime 20mins. Hats off to MSI.

As Surveyor said, send them an email with this information

Once you have had time to swap the boards please reply to this message with a collection address and preferred collection slot. Slots are Monday – Friday, Morning (9-12) or afternoon (12-5), excluding bank holidays.

Please allow two working days for the collection to be booked. We will reply to you with a courier job number to confirm the booking.

Or reply to the shipping email you received, as information above came from that.

Also just finished my swap out as well, very smooth process from beginning to end.

Spoke to soon.

Getting huge feedback on my speakers with the new mobo, looks like dodgy sound outputs!!!

Just my luck.

ScottiB - Any chance for organising for a working GD65 to be shipped and having the old GD65 picked up at the same time.

Are those mentioned in the op:

P67A-GD65
P67A-GD55
H67MA-E45
P67A-C45

The only models affected? My P67A-G45 is labelled all over the box and stickers as a B3 but software doesn't mention B3:

(running latest BIOS btw)

Colour me curious!

My GFX card is blocking the label on the mobo itself but I can see it shows on the board v2.0 which matches this pic:

http://www.msi.com/product/mb/P67A-G45--B3-.html#/?div=Utility&os=Win7 64

Also on the MSI site they don't list the SATA scan utility for my board whereas they do on other P67A boards so I assume the G45 version of this board was never affected?

Edit*

Aida64 confirmed:

Everything went better than expected :D

My b2 board got collected from my house yesterday, I see by the tracking it is out for delivery to MSI, hopefully they will get it in time to send out my replacement board today. Having no PC is not good for my health, I am getting a sun tan from the big hot thing in the sky so please send new b3 quick :D

Not bad at all, Sent board away to MSI on Monday for standard exchange and new one arrived this morning (Wed), I avoid PayPal as much as I can so this was perfect for me. Thanks very much for the quick turnaround and excellent customer service ScottiB and MSI

Just wanted to reiterate the great service from MSI. My GD65 was picked up on Monday and the replacement delivered on Wednesday. Can't ask more than that. Super service!

Im still in the middle about the inconenience of waiting for another mobo or living with the B2 mobo as I dont use the affected sata ports, decisions decisions...
