MSI UK Details its Sandy Bridge Exchange Program

I registered mine on 22nd March and I haven't heard yet so it looks like there must be a delay or I'm being picked on.....

Has anyone who registered for advance replacement after the 22nd heard anything?

Great service from MSI.

I received 2 new boards on Saturday 26 March on advanced replacement.

I was able to fit them and make sure there weren't any problems.

The old boards were collected on Sunday 3 April by ScottiB.

Refunds received Monday 4 April.

Doesn't get any better :D

absolutely not, I can guarantee that. You aren't being picked on, we are still sorting out the first week's worth of registrations, this covers roughly half of all registered users.

Any sort of timeslot for when you'll get round to those that registered after the 22nd? Just that I've got a cpu & ram that keeps staring at me from my shelf :)

Also, do you want our addresses down here in Wiltshire for when you deliver our boards as you did with Surveyor :D (You don't ask you don't get)

Thanks for keeping us informed though, much appreciated mate.

I registered on the 10th of March and still haven't had a paypal invoice yet for an advance replacement C45 to a GD65 upgrade so guess the ones later than that are still in the queue ;)

I have recieved my replacement board, now i just need to arrange a collection date, thanks to MSI for offering the advanced replacement, really pleased so far.

Awesome, thanks. Do you know if they bring the replacement while they pick this one up?

Cheers

No.

If you paid for advance replacement they send you a new one first and then collect the old one later.

If you went for the standard replacement they collect your old one, take it back to MSI who make sure you've actually sent them a motherboard and not an empty box, and then they send you a new one.

Is there a way of getting the serial number without taking the board out of the case, i dont have the box either?

The only label on the motherboard is a small one next to the BIOS
battery. It will be underneath your graphics card. That may have the serial number on it.

I'd have a look on mine but it's 1.30 in the morning and I'm not taking my PC apart!

It will probably be 601-7681-xxxxxxxxxxxxxx.

I seem to remember there was a label on the back of the motherboard. Not that that does you mych good.

Edit

Just realised I've replied to a very old question!

I would say same as they delivered unless you told them orther:p thats what they did with me unless you not doing the advanced swapout.

Finally got my invoice :) Hopefully it'll turn up on Thursday. Only issue i had on the paypal site it wouldn't allow me to change the ship to address to my work address. Anyone had this issue before? I put it in a note on the invoice so hopefully it works out ok.
