I did have a look at that thread, this may sound lazy but I really can't be faffed with reading through 30 pages of chatter. I think if I was to do it that way I'd wait until there were some definitive instructions/details

I'm doing the brakes first anyway, 1.8 carriers and disks and some Axxis Ultimate pads
I looked at this to, I have all the drawings, but I have decided against the m45 because there is nowhere to go after 200bhp really. I'd like to know I 'could' go higher if I decided I wanted to. its looking like a begi turbo for me, or a mp62 moss kit.
If you have no access to the tooling required to make the parts for the nutz drawings, it going to cost money to get them made, and A LOT of time faffing aroung getting it together, then you still have to buy management. Something I'd like to do, but don't have time for
I can understand this, but for me 200BHP is plenty, I plan to only run mine at 160-170, I dont think it is in the character of the car to make it stupid fast, it is fun having to work the engine - gears to get the most out of it!
Also, past that the upgrades etc will cost a fortune, may aswell buy a Lotus Elise or something?
I am/will be enjoying the journey that comes with these types of projects and thats part of the fun for me
I also work for an engineering company with its own machine shop

Atomic.. How's yours doing?! Haven't heard much about it!
Try going in an Mx-5 with well over 300bhp and report back, now thats fast
Slooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. I only get time to work on it at the weekend, and each time something happens that requires a tool I don't have. Latest bit of fun, I snapped a bolt putting the water pump back on, so I've got to drill that out and try again.. as well as get some more gaskets
Once the water pump is back on, got new timing belt, idler/tensioners to go on (may well while I'm here). And then fire it up and hope that it doesn't make the same awful noise it was making last time. If it does... well I don't want to think about that yet
What about the body?
