My new car

Oh believe me, if in a few months I hate it, and I regret it, I'll admit it

I just hope that isn't the case. As bad as this sounds, but because it's only my second car I've owned and about the 5th car I've ever driven since passing my test, I'm guessing it's going to be pretty hard for me to not be impressed compared to the Fiesta. That is definitely not a reason to justify the purchase, but at the same time, I'm just saying, I think I'll love it regardless

That's a nice car Fox, cheers for that! You git! ha I must admit though, I do prefer the interior of my car, but that certainly doesn't make me regret my purchase which is good!

Fair enough. I wish you all the best with it! :) If you do hate it, and come to sell it - just give your next car a quick google or post on here ;)

Well there you go then - thats probably the most similar 3 series 'alternative' (A £9k E90 would be crud, I drove a '56 base E90 320i ES for 6 weeks and hated it) and if you don't look at that and think 'DOH' then you've probably not made that bad a buy all things considered.

At least it's a 120d - the early 118d's were woeful!

Just out of interest though guys, where would be the best place to look for better Alloys, as I must admit they are the only thing about the car that don't truly grab me

Ebay but BE CAREFUL. Cheap and nasty fake BMW wheels with crap tyres outnumber the genuine wheels 10 to 1 on Ebay. Make sure you get genuine wheels.

as above really, you seem to have been lucky with your impulse purchase :p
the 120d is not a bad car by any means. get some bigger wheels and enjoy it :)

I'd be more worried about decent tyres than genuine wheels. ;)

The 120D has the 165bhp engine as opposed to the 140 odd in the 3, doesn't it? Certainly shouldn't be lacking in power :)

A mate of mine has a 54 plate 116i, it's rubbish in every way other than the badge I guess. I take great pleasure in telling him it's the worst BMW £10k can buy you. There is not a chance I would have spent £9k on a 5 year old slow poverty spec 1 series, not a chance!

That's the awful 116i. My sister has a 120D with the M-sport pack and its certainly not slow. :)
