My new weekend toy - Supra TT :-)

I've only just started reading this thread, but I already know it's going to be one I thoroughly enjoy. I absolutely love build threads like this and I must admit I didn't think I'd fine one quite so good on overclockers. Great work so far mate, although the car looks like it needs some TLC (I'm only on your 1st post so far, so I suspect it'll receive a good dose of that over the next 5 pages :) Keep up the good work buddy, and I'll continue reading :D

Cheers mate, it has come a long way....it actually gets worse with it having a slight knock at work! lol

I have the same front lip as the white car pictured above so the front end will look similar, especially when I fit a FMIC :)

Update

After the dyno run I heard a strange noise coming from the engine, after further investigation it ended up being the timing belt rubbing (more like rubbing off). Luckily I caught it in time. Ultimately the belt had been done prior but the wrong crank shaft pulley had been put on, pics can be seen below..

Wasn't really a guess; I own a Starlet GT myself! :p

Currently rocking a replica Zep reverse scoop on mine since I no longer have a top-mounted IC. Why do the turbo MkIVs have a scoop btw? Did they come stock with a TMIC? Either way, your idea looks a hell of a lot better than the 'stuck on' look of the original item.

That is the whole point with me using this scoop, never liked the UK spec scoop, like you said it has a "stuck on" look. The UK (and Europe/US) have a functional scoop, I believe the pipework goes to where the turbo heatshield is to cool it down. It does get really hot under the hood. I am after a carbon scoop and jam style in carbon too with fittings but they are rare and custom build. Found a trader on UKSOC who can produce them.

Cheers.
Im not a fan of masses of carbon either but since I have a half carbon spoiler i think this would finish the body off...

And winter time I put this on ..

I am not entirely sure how the reverse scoop will look good though but it will protect it from crap getting in. Other option is the jam style closed scoop.

I still cant get used to seeing the bump from the bonnet on my car, its strange LOL
I just read your build thread on the forum, did you sort your leak out? I had an issue with my pipes dieing on me, the same ones you replaced, its the ones that sit on the HM! what a PITA that was to change.

Idrees lives local to me and has ordered a reverse scoop with fittings, waiting for it to arrive before I place an order for a carbon one :)

What do you think on the price on this Sp33d AT Sup Aero

I think its a bit overpriced, I'd have it instantly if it was cheaper.

I saw your post on the owners club, at first I thought it was a turbo and it would have been a bargain but its overpriced. The most a very good example NA goes for is 4500 (and I mean very). I would contact them and offer most 4k if that's within your budget mate.

Back in the bodyshop, blending the front lip into the stock bumper
Made a few purchases recently, UK glass head lights and a HKS SSQ4 thats welded into an intake pipe, 20mm wheel spacers inc longer studs and finally a few carbon bits on route.

Few photos of it before it went to the bodyshop...

I want this

No you cant have! :)

Haven't been looking at the Supra market in a while.....Now i am -_-

What happened to that red one you was looking at? If your still interested I can ask my mate to contact you on the owners club. He is from Wales and owns a red tt aerotop and knows a fair bit about them so can help you if required.

nom nom

Lovely colour.

It grew on me, lovely when the sun/light hits it

Like a good Supra, pleased to see the work on this one :)

A guy I used to work with now owns this...

TT manual import with about 400bhp with BPU mods I think, better (?) UK spec brakes and other bits I believe as well! One of the nicest I have seen...

Yes I have seen that at the anniversary meet, believe his username on the owners club is "spike jack" or something. Lovely example.

cheers it wont be changing massivley compared to the above, just the addition of some carbon bits and bobs. My next big purchase is wheels, they can either make or break the look of the car. Unsure what I should get, I do have something in mind buts its 3k:eek:

Gold? I see gold with that paint.

This sort of style would look good I reckon:

Need something concave or with a bit of dish on the Supra in my opinion.

im not a fan of gold, well I dont think it will suit the car either. I defo want something with dish on it

kinda liking these...
