My Official £50-£46,000 betting challenge

I lose all the rest of mine, got up to £450, banked £200 then managed to lose the other £250! At least I got £190 up so I'm not really annoyed. I'll probably start again with another tenner next week! :)

Up to £85, my internet is very slow and barely connects to betfair :(

So still not getting many bets in. Still I started at £25 so its not bad at all.

i had got upto 90 with 1.01 bets then started to think " chelsea/liverpool/manc are bound to beat them" so down to 30 now.
will be more focused now.

Is it just me or is betfair the most confusing site in the world?

Anyone wanna give me a quick step by step on how to find games to bet on and how to actually bet.. thanks. :D

Just click the in-play or football tab, choose a match, and then choose what bet you want to make. All the different bet types are on the left, then just choose a bet to back and press the best odds for that bet, then stick how much you want to stake in. It takes a few seconds to get matched or if it is unmatched you can cancel it and try again at different odds if you want. Not sure which bit you're having issues with so can't be much more specific. :)

That's good enough for me, thanks! :)

What does 'lay' mean?

Can I withdraw my money at anytime? For example, can I put a tenner in, win 2p then withdraw it all back out? Or do I have to wait a certain amount of time or make a certain amount of money?

Betting on something not happening e.g. betting that a horse (the favourite) doesn't win.*

*I think this is correct

Pretty much. It's basically making you the bookmaker...

Man Utd 100/1 - Draw 14-1 - Man City 1/100
(These odds are entirely fictional for the purpose of this explanation :p)

You "lay" £10 on Man Utd at 100/1, if they win you lose £1000, if it's a draw or Man City win you get your £10 back.

Yeah, betting on something not happening rather than betting on something happening. Its particularly used when "Cashing Out" on betfair.
