My poor little angel is not well

A smile means a million words.

It is sounding as she's heading in the right direction. Kids are tough I'm sure she'll bounce back. She's clearly in good hands. :)

Still have my fingers crossed for you and your family, and sending you positive vibes.

Been following this thread and am glad to see your daughter appears to be on the mend :)

Seems surprising that they've only just given your wife a put-up-bed beside YLA after a few nights in there!

I remember my son being admitted when he was 10 months as an emergency following a visit to the GP, it's horrible, they can't talk to tell you what's wrong and your surrounded by other people all fretting for their little ones :(

Still, that time my wife did get a put up bed immediately next to my boy and he was allowed home the next day :)

Hope she continues to improve Skywalker.

The worse time for me know is when my little boy goes to bed as my father has had to go home for a few days which is leaving me on my own and I just dont know what to do with myself - There is only so much cleaning I think a man should have to endure a day

Hey, come and visit me, you can clean my house up for me - that'd keep you busy :D

Seriously, glad she sounds like she's on the mend - as others have said, kids are suprisingly tough, and your little angel sounds like she's gonna be fine *hugs*

Just returned home from the evening visit -

It appears by looking at everything that has been going on that she has pneumonia and she will be in there for about another week by the looks of things .

She should be having another x-ray tomorrow to see if the antibiotics have helped and if they havent she will stay in till they clear her up .

Im not sure how long I can keep going as I have only managed 3 hours sleep since monday tops as I just cant get to sleep at all

You need to be fit and well mate So just go lay down. It doesn't matter if you sleep just lay down on your bed all snug and dark and rest.
Glad they have identified what's wrong as now she will be on the mend quicker.
Your cruising now mate the worst is over. Come on chin up and have a bath and a lay down.
Thinking of you all and wishing you all my luck. A tuff time dude but you are coping so good on ya.

Good thing that they have now pinned it down. Two of my neighbours have just got over it and they're fit and healthy adults and really struggled, well done to YLA for fighting the disease!

Now you know what's been wrong and they are able to treat her you should switch off the Hoover, pour yourself a dram and relax then fall asleep :)

Really glad to hear that things are going in the right direction. Now you need to get some rest and spend some time with your son, as he will be missing some attention with all the fuss about his sister. Maybe go with him to get a something special for himself, as he may be feeling a little left out.

Please try to get some sleep as you will be no good to anyone if you are so tired. Have a drink and go to bed.

Best wishes and you all remain in our thoughts.

I only just noticed this thread and have read from the beginning, I'm so glad things are headed in the right direction. I can't begin to comprehend how you must be feeling, but I hope that when your daughter recovers and grows older, she realises how lucky she is to belong to such a loving and devoted family and to have such a strong and loving father.

I'm sure she'll be fine and you have my total respect for remaining strong at such a draining time, please keep us posted on her progress. My best wishes to your daughter, you and the rest of your family.

Thanks for all you kind words guys

Spent about 30 minutes on the phone with the wife earlier and it seems that shes having problems breathing again but the nurses told her it would happen in the evening .

They still cant explain the fits either that she is having on the left side of her body as these are becoming more frequent

Have been trying to sleep but that still aint happening either

Only just seen the thread. My thoughts are with you. 3 and a bit months before my first is due so can't imagine what you are going through. They would have had to almost tear me away as well though I think!

Hope they have now got the diagnosis right and the breathing getting a little worse is just something half expected at night. Be strong, and do try and sleep some. Even if it is just a few hours on the sofa. Your not going to be able to keep on giving your wife the support she needs as well if you don't get some sleep!

It takes time mate, sounds like your little one has had a rough journey and is coming through, shes getting better dude just hang in there and get some rest.

thoughts are with you and your missus.
