N95 Release

Anyone know if it's possible to Sync the N95 with Lotus Notes 7.02. I only want to sync the Calendar not email.

S60 phones, like the N95, sync fine with Lotus Notes 6.5. I'm not sure about v7 though.

I wish I didn't have to use Lotus Notes at work. :(

Not email?

Why would you need it to if it has wifi? I think it is trying to work a bit like a blackberry. Also I think to use this phone its almost a necessity to have an unlimited data plan, otherwise you just wont use it to its full potential. There may be a way to sync emails but as far as I am aware it doesnt.:)

edit - If lotus notes syncs then outlook must do, sorry I have never used that function/seen it on pc suite

Because data plans are still expensive, and Wifi uses a lot of power.
I'd only need access to the emails ive already recieved for reference, not the ability to get the email 'live'. :).

Theres quite a cool option in the email settings that only sync's email when you are in your home network, that might be handy for you. At any rate if you use wifi just to sync your emails once at home it wont use much power for a one time only connection.

But seriously without a data plan I just cant see the benefits of this phone - I see it as highly data dependant. (Mgmaps (which I prefer to the existing mapping software), email, internet, free VOIP, TV over the air etc) The phone is kind of crippled without unlimited data. I urge you, if you get the phone to go on Tmob it really isnt too pricey (unlike Orange, voda and o2 which are crazy!) and is worth every penny imo.

The maps are ****. Anyone know what version of TomTom will work with this phone?

You can install Tom Tom 6 but it will need an update to allow it to use the internal GPS so is pretty useless at the moment. The best for maps I think is Gmaps - you can use googlemaps/satellite as well as msn maps, yahoo and ask.

To do what?

Was just looking at the T-Mobile Web/Walk thing, seems excellent value.

Dunno really thinking about it! :o

Yes its really worth it:) I just heard that o2 might be offering on £35 a month up to 1gb data, so if youare with them maybe its worth it to wait a whil - I might even cancel mu contract with Tmob to go back to o2. (I was offered £200 cashback to stay with them but the Tmob data was too good!)

...and then 2-3 months later, the rumored 'proper' European iPhone.
Asuming theres nout else good out by June, i think im gonna get a N95. If i dont like it, i can allways send it back within a week and get a different one. :p

Just got my replacement N95 delivered after my mates dog decided to eat it and crack the screen and pull buttons off it on Friday night. Only got the phone Wednesday afternoon, gutted I was to say the least. Spoke to a nice woman at Orange care and she sorted me out with a new replacement handset and battery cover which was delivered this morning (easter sunday), one of the reasons I stick with orange is their great care. Must make sure with this phone to not leave it unattended whilst round my mates. Is this a record for a replacement phone.
