Cheers mate. I just want it for Uni, you see. I've found the best way to remember a night out (or blackmail my mates) is to take pics and videos. I know the video on the N95 is superior to that of the K800iK810i but I want the photos mostly.

So, yeah, if you could upload the pics to take to night that woul be good of you.

The GPS certainly seems to be very hit and miss, I hope it's just a firmware thing. The first time I used it I got a lock after a few seconds and wondered what all the fuss was about. Tried it today on a 30minute walk and it didn't once manage to get a lock, with the pre-installed app or the G Maps one :(

Its the first lock that seems to be important - when you have a fix it can 'repickup' the signal again quickly. You just need to stay still until the first lock unfortunately!

If you spent all of the time walking, that's probably why you had the problem, you really need to stay still until it finds the signal. My tests have fairly reliable got a link (even from inside, if I stand by the window) in about 30 seconds of standing still, but took a good 5 minutes of walking around the block without stopping before it found anything. Unfortunately standing outside your house staring at your phone for 30 seconds before going anywhere looks rather silly!

Yeah, pretty much my findings too, i'm hoping it's something they can fix with an update as it's pretty useless at the moment.

Anyone found that a "call divert" icon (top right) comes up when it's not supposed to? It's not really the world's most massive problem, but it's up there all the time on my N95, even though it's not actually diverting anything. Pressing *#21#[SEND] makes it disappear until the phone's turned off and on again. According to the manual, the symbol means that all calls are being diverted. They're not, because the phone works fine. I'm on T-Mobile, if that makes any difference.

Same on mine, and on a friends N80, all T-Mobile. It's T-Mobile basically.

Yep I had that (Im on Tmob too) I just went tinto call divert options and turned each of them off until it disappeared - I think it was the data call option but not sure.

Glad it wasn't just me - I turned voice call divert on and off again and it's disappeared for now.

One other thing, I ended up resetting my phone and lost applications and things - I've reinstalled most of it, but my menu still looks a bit different to how it used to and I'm not sure if anything important is missing (compared with how the phone arrived) - any chance someone with a N95 on T-Mobile could tell me what their menu and applications menu contains?

can i get a rough idea on what sort of deal i should expect from o2 for one of these on an 18month contract and aswell on orange

orange - dolphin unlimited. £35 a month, 600 mins, unlimited texts. get free broadband thrown in unlimited free calls to magic numbers ect. cost me £49.99 for the phone but you could probably get it free with a bit of haggling

The websites will help you better, but as a very rough idea 600 mins / 500 texts on a new 18 month contract, paying about £90 for the phone.

That is just an idea based on what I was seeing 1 - 2 weeks ago when I last looked.

thanks guys for replying, this deal seems really great. Thought orange didn't haggle?

Hi there

Is there anyway of ending a call by closing the key pad? instead of hitting the red phone key? I keep sliding up the keypad and thinking my call has ended bit like closing a flip, and have to end up hitting the red phone key...guess I will get used to it minor niggle..after haveing many flip phones it seems logical to me closing the key pad would be the way to go..

Ditto - also can I make the numpad light up all the time rather than just in low light?

Not sure but im sure theres a light sensor adjustment in the tools menu, might have to do a bit of searching but im sure i saw it there on mine but dunno if thats what your after though.

Well after a weekend of using mine, ive decided to send it back for a refund as i cannot justify the cost of it plus not having much luck selling the P990i sadly. So might wait a bit to see how low the price goes on it unless tmobile offer me an early upgrade but i would imagine the phone has their crap on it...which i dont really want to go through the hassle of trying to de-brand. Plus im sure they will probably have some silly sticker on the phone saying Tmobile etc.

Have to admit it was a hard decision as the phone is superb, i was quite shocked at how quick it was compared to the other N series plus the fact that its much smaller than my P990i....the GPS for me was just a gimmick, didnt work too well, perhaps they will bring out a firmware that will solve some of the gps problems. Sad to see it go but im going to wait till the price of it settles down...i dont think its worth the £500 odd quid i paid for it tbh. But ill say this, its definitely a phone that i would recommend to anyone...i think Nokia have finally finally got it right with the N95.

Does anyone know if there is a Flight Mode on the N95 had a look through but can't find one.

I've noticed there is an Offline Profile which disables the Phone but still allows Bluetooth and WLAN functions to work.

Would I be able to use the N95 on a Plane for MP3 Playback and watching films?
