N95 Release

I certainly hope not, imagine jammed in a Easyjet Seat for a couple of hours with someone sat next to you on the phone constantly. Or the guy that needs to walk up and down whilst making a call!!!

It's not in the Airlines interest anyway, more cases of Air Rage for the Stewardesses to deal with, plus they don't want you in touch with the ground picking up news feeds etc as they've gone paranoid since 9/11 imagine you were on a Plane somewhere in the States hearing 9/11 live on the phone. It was bad enough sat on the M1 North at the time.

Plus think of all the money they'll lose when they put there own phones in at £1+ a minute.

Does anyone know if there is a Flight Mode on the N95 had a look through but can't find one.

I've noticed there is an Offline Profile which disables the Phone but still allows Bluetooth and WLAN functions to work.

Would I be able to use the N95 on a Plane for MP3 Playback and watching films?

That is the flight mode. Nokia don't cripple all the other functions in flight mode like other manufacturers do (SE, for example, even disable Bluetooth in flight mode - how pointless).

I understand that the N95 has VOIP capability using some third party programs, and that you can also use it as a webcam using third party programs. I was wondering if it was possible to use the front camera and the VOIP at the same time for video calls over VOIP, is it?
Or might there be the possibility in the future?
Many thanks, it would be the decider in my eyes :)

The VOIP function doesnt offer this and 3rd party VOIP services such as Fring dont yet either but technically it is possible so maybe sometime it will. Check out Fring they are great as it allows you to Call Skype users for free, use MSN etc.

edit:

This was just posted by Fring:

mmm.... video calls are not that trivial

This won't be added to the next version. Maybe in the future.

It's not touch screen. Not sure whether there are any decent phone-like touchscreen Smartphones out there - most are PDA-like, and anyway need a stylus. The LG Prada is a nice touchscreen, but not a smartphone.

I was talking to my mate last night, who works at CPW, and he said that he finds that a lot of customers complain about the software being a bit buggy, crashes, and the battery life.
But he did say that when it was working, it was an excellent phone. He especially commented on the screen and the video aspect of the camera. :)

He also said the Prada phone was a waste of space and all about the name. :p.

Got mine yesterday, my first ever nokia phone (always been a sony fanboy). Crashed once, although I was a little button happy, battery life seems reasonable, even when using GPS etc.

orange are offering this deal wondering if its any good for orange, any places that can do better?

£35 per month on 18 month contract + £6 for insureance per month
£90 for n95
600mins plus unlimited texts
£100 credit so bascially paying for the phone

This any good? Probably going to take it out and atleast try it and the phone. If its no good how easy is it to cancel contract?

what memory card comes in the box? from orange i can buy a 1gb for £45 which making me think it comes with nothing.

Is that as an upgrade or new deal. If its an upgrade then you can do better, i was first quoted £200 for an ugrade on a £30 per month 12 month deal and they said i want to leave and they suddenly gave it to me for free.

Just arrived this morning and its impressive.
